Everything was fine until the month after her 17th birthday. After a ball on February 5th, 1841, a man by the name of Elijah fed on her, fed her is blood to heal her, compelled her to forget it, and fled. However, neither of them knew that she was next on a murderer's list. That night, Adeline was killed with vampire blood in her system. Nothing was the same after that.
