~Adeline~

I walk out of the office of Mystic Falls High School after picking up my class schedule. After I ran out of things to do around the US, I decided to go to a small town high school. I don't know what drew me to this town, but somehow this seemed like the best place. It's quiet for the most part, and the people seem quite decent. Luckily, I brought blood bags from my trip to Florida so I won't be killing nor hurting anyone.

The halls are busy and sort of crowded, pretty much a usual high school. I walk through the hallway and try to find Calculus. Which is most likely going to be the class I hate the most. Out of my 168 years of ,sort of, living, math has always been my most hated topic. I don't know why I keep coming back to high school all because of boredom.

"Ouch.", I say as I'm knocked down onto the hard floor of the hallway.

"Oh! I'm sorry!.", a girl with dark hair says as she offers a hand and pulls me up.

"It's fine. I'm actually in need of help on finding Junior's Calculus.", my English accent still comes off thick, even after all these years of being around Americans.

"I'll help you. Exchange student?", she asks.

   "Yep. I'm Adeline.", I say.

"Bonnie.", she smiles and I return it.

After we get to my Calculus class, I thank her and we plan to meet up here after since we have History together next. We exchange smiles again as she walks off to Gym and I find an empty desk in the back of the room. Calculus flies by fast and soon enough, Bonnie and I are taking seats in Mr.Saltzman's History class. Thankfully, there's an empty seat next to Bonnie. It's nice to be able to sit by the only person I know so far.

"How was Calculus?", she asks before class starts.

"Fine. Not hard at all.", I respond with the truth. Just because I hate it doesn't mean it's hard. Being alive for 185 years kind of gave me practice.

"Good. You know you have one easy class so far.", she says and I nod, ending the conversation since the bell rang and class is starting.

The day goes by rather quickly and now I'm sitting in the cafeteria with Bonnie. I didn't get anything to eat, but she wants me to meet her friends so I know more people than just her. I see a group of 2 guys and 2 girls walk in. One guy has blonde hair, the other a darkish brown, and its the same for the girls.

"Hey guys. This is Adeline. She's new and an exchange student.", Bonnie says to them.

"Hi. I'm Caroline Forbes. I love your outfit by the way!", the blonde girl says, smiling.

"I'm Elena Gilbert. Nice to meet you.", says the brunette chick.

"Thanks, Caroline. And hi. Nice too...", I stop mid sentence once I get a good look at her face. She looks exactly like Katerina Petrova. Niklaus' brother, Elijah's, ex lover.

I shake my head and laugh softly. "Sorry, I spaced out. Nice to meet you too."

"I'm Matt Donovan.", says the blonde guy.

"And I'm Stefan Salvatore.", says the brunette guy as he looks at me intently. Salvatore...where do I remember that from?

"Nice to meet you all.", I say as they all sit down to eat. I have the impression that I'm going to be very close with Caroline. And I'm happy I made new friends. Yet...something seems off about them.

(A/N)
So a heads up, Adeline started at MFHS in the middle of the school year. After everything, or most things, has already happened. Coach Tanner already died, Elena and Stefan are together, Caroline and Damon already had their fling and she's with Matt, and basically everything in the beginning of season 1.

Some things that haven't happened is that Klaus hasn't attacked yet, but Elijah has met Elena. Basically, this book takes place in late season 2. Hope you enjoy! And if it's pretty shitty right now, it's because I'm on my phone yo write it up. I'll correct spelling errors later.
