It was done. I've taken over Alaric's body and now I'll get what I want. I stand from the chair that Alaric sat in to do the spell that transferred my soul into his body. A few feet away, Katerina was sat by the wall. As I was about to walk over to her, I heard the door open, long after Maddox was gone.

"Dammit.", I mutter and turn around only to nearly fall at the sight in front of me.

I gaze at her when she turns around. "Adeline.", I whispered, not believing the sight that I'm seeing.

"Yep. Still me. I'll be in my room Ric.", she says and walks away to the other bedroom.

How can this be? She's dead. I left her all those years ago in 1841. She was human. Unless...no. Why? She was so innocent.

Katerina starts to move around. Maddox must've knocked her out to get her here. I walk towards her and smirk.

"Katerina Petrova.", I say, kneeling to her height.

She scoffs and picks her head up. "Klaus. Why am I here?"

"I am taking over Alaric Saltzman's body and you, my friend, are going to catch me up on his life because we don't need anyone suspecting anything, now do we?"

   "I'd rather die."

"All in good time, my dear.", I smirk at her.

~Adeline~

I put Rise Againt's album, Appeal to Reason, in my stereo and skip to track 10. Hero of War starts to blare and I lay on my back across my bed, singing to it. A little while later my door opens and Ric walks in as I'm singing to Savior by them.

I sit up and look towards him. "What's up?"

He shrugs. "Nothing. Just wanted to hang out."

I raise an eyebrow at him and smile. "Since when?"

He laughs. "Since I have nothing better to do as of now, love."

I smile. "Okay then. Sit.", I pat the spot on my small bed next to me.

He sits down and we talk for a little while but then I realize something. The way he's talking, smiling more since the Jenna situation, hanging out with me instead of grading papers as always.

"You're not Alaric. Who are you?", I ask and use my extra speed to get off of the bed and across the room.

'Alaric' sighs. "Okay, you got me. I'm possessing Alaric's body."

"Well that's the obvious part. What is your name?", I ask whilst still backing towards the door.

"Am I obliged to tell you that part, love? I think not."

I glare at him. "Get out of his body."

He smirks. "Soon, love. I promise."

"Well then I'm leaving. Find me when you're less of a douche and want to talk to me in your own body and explain to me whatever reason it is that has you taking over his body."

I packed a bag that'll last me at least a week, grabbed my phone and purse, then walked out. The fact that I'm actually calm about this scares me.  I should be freaking out about the fact that my guardian and friend is being possessed by some psychopathic supernatural being.

I pull out my phone and text Caroline since we exchanged numbers at the grill.

Me: Hey, Care...I need a favor.

Caroline <3: Yeah sure. What is it?

Me: Can I stay over for a few days?

   Caroline <3: Of course! Sleepover!!

I laugh at her response. I love how she's so bubbly sometimes.

Caroline <3: Pick you up at the Grill in a few?

   Me: Perfect. Thanks.

I cross the street and sit on a bench in front of the Grill. About seven minutes later, Caroline pulls up and I get in. When I'm settled in, she gives me a hug.

"Are you okay?", she asks with genuine concern.

I smile a little. "Yeah. Just needed some time with a friend I guess."

She smiles and starts driving to her house. "Well I'm that friend! We have all the time we need so you can stay as long as you want."

I smile and don't say anything. Shortly after, we are at her house and she leads me in and to her room.

"Well, this is my humble abode.", she giggles. "We can share the bed. Help yourself to anything you'd like."

I thank her, put my down, and in the corner I see a small cooler. That's normal, but what isn't normal is the fact that I can smell the strong sent of blood coming from it. What the hell?
