You and Maui stood in the middle of the dimly lit room questioning the old woman of her suspicious sighting of what seemed to be the beginning of the end of the beloved ocean.

"What else did you see?" Maui asked pulling Akela back in tossing the dead fish to the side.

she only shook her head sadly "I am unsure i can describe it to you in word's for the destruction below was nothing compared to above" she replied looking down her eye's drooping as her eye's watered.

At that you immediately took off out the house blocking out Maui's cries of protest before he began charging toward's you.

You stopped at a clearing filled with whimpering distressed villager's who turned their head's to you and looked down upon seeing who you were. Being a demi goddess of nature, they knew this would effect you the most as they slowly created a path looking away from the sight that must have been horrible.

You looked at all of them concerned but, no one could meet your eye as Maui caught up to you his heavier body coming next your smaller one in an instant. "I don't think you want to see this" he said softly his hand wrapped around your arm holding you back.

You didn't look at him for a moment and your bottom lip quivered slightly as you turned slightly "M-Maybe i can...they could still be alive. I can still save them" you said pulling out of his grip.

He hesitated "just don't over do it like last time" he said before sighing and nodding as you made your way into the center of the clearing, the moment your foot set on the blackened, ash stained ground you could feel the once vibrant, sustaining life of the soil beneath your feet draining away and fast. The meadow was once filled with tall strong tree's of coconut grove's and flower's of various color's.

You went to your knee's quickly and pulled your dagger from your concealed hiding spot "Give me the strength of the god's. I beg of you" you whispered into the sheath of your godly weapon.

In mere minutes, the dagger began to glow a heavenly light shining vibrantly across the once pure meadow. You clutched the sheath in your hand's tightly as it burned your palm and you held in your cries of pain as people crowded in awe and fascination at your now glowing form. The glow had now transferred to you causing your skin to spark and a streak of curving vine's elegantly carve into your skin up the side of your face.

You closed your eye's as you did this and let the sheath of your dagger go and to everyone except your's and Maui's disbelief it did not hit the dead soil but, stayed afloat in all of it glowing perfection.

Your hand moved forward suddenly an slowly causing people to back away as you did your work, you were looking for something everyone noticed as your hand hovered over numerous spots of the meadow.

That's when your eye's opened and your eye's were no longer a rich and vibrant (e/c) but, now a glowing green that spread past the white's of your eye's. Then, a blinding light blast from your outstretched hand and into the spot you were hovering over moments before, people covered their eye's shielding their children from the blinding force before it vanished.

In a flurry of murmur's and exclaim's of what they just witnessed people waited anxiously for the dust around them to clear. however, Maui didn't have the patience as  he rushed though the smoke and dust that crawled though the air worriedly "(y/n)?!" he cried looking around before he heard a small thump on the ground.

He ran towards the sound in fear of the worst his face crinkling with worry as he ran his mighty hook in hand strapped to the makeshift holder across his chest onto his back. He finally came to the clearing and didn't pay any mind to what might've been a now replenished vitally sustaining meadow of blooming flower's and tree's.

He saw you laying on the ground satisfied look on your face as your eye's dropped in exhaustion, once you caught sight of him you grinned at him goofily before it faded from exhaustion.

He heard exclaim's of amazement and awe as people crowded the now perfect meadow of fresh flower's and fallen coconut's. Maui picked up the fallen dagger before placing it in it's holster and strapping it around your waist.

He smiled down at you as you looked at him tiredly "that's my girl".

You only breathed a giggle before letting him pick you up bridal style as people crowded around in celebration, "Thank you so much!" one exclaimed in excitement.

"this is more food then we've seen in decades!" a woman cheered holding a child at her hip.

"we are blessed to have you in our presence gentle goddess.it would be an honor to care for you" an elder spoke bowing as other's followed.

You shifted a little uncomfortable with the attention and you elbowed Maui in the chest as he chuckled at your shyness "No no it's ok. Please it's the least i could do" you said with a smile before stating "please prepare a feast for your village and remember to save and store your food, we don't know when another hit like this could occur" you said.

They all nodded before the chief began to give order's and Maui began to take you back to the house "You really think this could have been all kanaloa's doing?" you asked looking up at Maui.

He sighed and admitted "it could be anyone's many god's have the power to give and take away but, i've never seen something as devastating as killing the ocean and everything in and on it".

You didn't ask any further question due to having gone limp in his arm's in exhaustion and the stinging feeling in your palm growing as you fell into unconsciousness.
