I woke up to the  loud beep of my phone.   The alarm wouldn't shut  up I turned to my side to check my phone two buttons were listed either sleep or disable.  I chose disable and the shreik of the alarm turned off.  I turned again on to my back and looked up at the cealing.  I never noticed it but how could somthing so plain and unnoticeable be so important.  I thought about it again and remembered I had my first day of school.  I removed the warm comforters from my body and walked over to the shower.  My mum was still sleeping, granted I still had an hour and the school is only five minutes away by car.  I turned on the water to the crappy shower.  I removed my pajama's and walked in.  It didn't take that long because I'm still and probably forever will be used to five minute British showers.  I got out and wrapped myself in a warm, fresh, red towl that was hanging on a beem across from the toliet.  I walked out and just as I suspect everything was exactly the same.  I hurried into my room and picked out a pair of brown baggy pants and a cream sweater vest that I have had god knows how long.  I staired at myself in the mirror and my hair and it was still very wet.

My mum finally got up and she looked very depressed.  I don't really know because she was very happy the past week.  As I walked into the bathroom to dry my hair she shlupped her way down the stairs and I heard her sigh.  I didn't check on her because I still had a few things todo before I even thought about talking.  It took me ten minutes to dry my hair.  I combed the cowlick and looked at myself in the mirrior.  I was still the same Marcel just different.  I wounder if the people at school will remember me?

I checked my i-phone 4s and luckly I had a full battery because I almost didn't charge it last night.  I bounced down stairs and my mum looked at me.  I couldn't tell what her emotion was at first she looked as if she was going to cry then all of a sudden a smile appeared on on her tired face.

" Oh you got so old all of a sudden," She squealed and gave me a hug.  I bent down and hugged her back. " So what would you like for your first breakfest of the school year?"

" Um could you make some tea. I'm not that hungry,  um are you ok?" I questioned.  She walked over to the sink still in her pajamas.

" Yeah I'm fine its nothing," She said filling up the tea kettle.

" Mum are you sure you don't have anything to say to me?" I asked wanting to know answers.  Then right when she was about to speak Scarlett walked through the door.  She was wearing white shorts and a blue and white floral blouse.  She didn't have her backpack so I asumed it was in her truck.

" Marcel!" She yellled happily.  She was filled with energy and it wasn't even seven.  She gave me a warm hug and she smelled rather nice.

We pulled away and I couldn't help, but notice her bright smile. "How are you so perkey this early?" I smiled.

" Because I got alot of sleep last night and I love this day," She explained.

" Wow okay... so your car or mine?" I yauned.

" How about we each take our own car, but park next to each other?" She asked and shrugged her shoulders.

" Alright,"  I agreed and grabbed my backpack which was near the door.

I wallked outside and threw my backpack in the passenger seat.  Before I could leave I had to wait till Scarlett was out of the drive way.  Her light blue truck was almost out of the narrow drive way, so I tried slowly to back out.  We were on our way and I tried my hardest to stay right behind her.  I could see the school and there were still very many parking spots.  Granted we were almost twenty minutes early.  Usually the teachers were more lenient so, if you were late they didn't even care.  I parked right next to the light blue pick up truck.  She got out and headed for my car.  Unexpectedly jumped into my passenger seat.  She dropped my backpack on the ground and smiled.

" So what are you doing here?" I asked with a grin.

" What I can't come over and see my best friend anymore?" She joked.

" Of course you can," I turned on the radio and Catch My Breath by Kelly Clarkson came on and surprisingly Scarlett quickly pressed the off button.

" What are you doing?"  I asked.

" I don't want to listen to that shit anymore.  Lets listen to your phone," She sugested.

" Fine..." I grabbed this little aux cored that plugged into my car that played the music on my phone.  The first thing that played was Asleep from The Smiths.  She rested her head on my shoulder and closed her eyes.  I could see she had eye linner glazed on the top of her eye lid.  And her eye lashes looked very full.  Honestly she didn't need make-up either way she was still beautiful.
