"Rey, are you ok?" Uncle Luke asks
"Yeah, I'm fine." I say smiling, but on the inside I'm not.
"Rey, I'm technically your father, don't lie to me. That's not how it works." He tells me.
"Fine, my best friends and the only people I know are mad at me, my boyfriend won't talk to me, and the tv's not working." I say to him.
"Well I can fix the tv, but I can only give you advice on the rest of that stuff." He says
"Fine, lay it on me Jedi!" I say, ready to try anything.
"Give it time, but be persistent. If you give up, it's all over. You'll lose yourself, your friends, and your family." He says, and I stare at him, completely unconvinced.
"Now, let's "fix" the tv." He says, abbreviating fix with air quotes.
"Why'd you do air quotations?" I ask
"Why didn't you check the power cord?" He says with a smirk.
"You unplugged the cord?" I ask.
"Yep!" He says and after I glare at him he adds: "I had to have this conversation with you and that was the only way I could!"
