After another few hours of marching the noon day sun beats down on our heads. Its cool outside but the sun against our metal armor isn't exactly giving us the feeling of a refreshing breeze. We see the City, get into our positions and look across the battlefield. Thousands of dead corpses lie across the field and on the other sides stands the forces of my nephew, Ragen. I turn towards our army. I know most of the several thousand cant here me but the Temple Knights and Daniel are off in other areas giving their own speeches. I begin.
“Men, I stand before you today, a free man! I cant promise you were going to win this battle, the previous days have shown that. I cant tell you for certain im going rush into that castle and take down Ragen and his evil empire. But I can tell you this much, Today is going to be a day the world will never forget! Today is the day we stand with swords ready, telling anyone who can hear, we wont back down! We wont be ruled by tyranny. We will live! We will not run off into the night and hide away like cowards! We will always be here. And if we don’t win today then we will spend our lives being a thorn in the side of the this destructive empire, fighting for the freedom of those who deserve it! Oh no Ragan, We will live, we WILL fight and we WILL serve OURS and YOUR God and today, weather we win or loose, GOD IS THE TRUTH AND THE TRUTH SHALL SET YOU FREE!" The army lights up in a roar, then another section as each of Knights and Daniel finish their speeches. Everyone makes their way to the front as the army continues to roar. We are just ready to give the charging order when out of nowhere the army goes silent. A strange old man emerges out of the crowd, no weapon, no armor, just sackcloth to wear and no shoes. He walks towards me and I don’t take my eyes off him.
He begins to speak, “Over 150 years ago your grandfather built a city in the name of The Lord. He painted the walls the most pristine white he could find and named the city Falador. But your grandfather did evil in the sight of The Lord and he was sent a profit to tell him his name, and his seed after him would be called ‘Vain’ for the evil he had done, and everything they did would be in vain until The Lord saw it fit to change that name. Your father raised three children in vain, and his sons grew up to be evil and only one is alive today. But that man, which is you, did what neither your father, nor grandfather did. You repented and turned from your wicked ways and surrendered yourself unto The Lords army. You led the rebellion against your own kingdom and won and took back what had been promised to your family, that each descendent would rule the land for a time, but you fought in vain and later your kingdom was lost.
You decided to go and visit your sister whom you yourself sent to Lumbridge. You decided to lie down by a pond that you found peaceful. You fell asleep there in the peacefulness of the day and a familiar face, of whom you shall soon meet fell upon you.” My eyes widen as in realize he is about to tell me where I went, along with the realization that the familiar face must have been Ragen, who must of followed me outside my sisters and attacked me!
“He struck you in your head but The Lord spared you. You fell into a deep sleep. The Lord sent some passing bishops from the local Church and they seen you, and gathered you into their arms and took you to the Church where they, and their children nurtured you for twenty five years until the fateful day the church was attacked by unruly drunken soldiers. God would not allow you to age because He knew of the events that were to come. You were loaded onto a cart and pulled by a horse trying to escape and save you. And as God would have it, on a sharp turn you were dumped from the cart into the exact place of which you fell a slumber and by God's will alone you awoke from your deep sleep only minutes later to find your kingdom destroyed and your sister beckoning you to her home. You see Danny Vain, The Lord has been with you the entire time, from your troubled childhood to today. And He has seen you searve Him and live in vain and He says it is time for you to dawn your true name.”
