I grab my weapon and have a horse fetched and am assigned a small Calvary of six other men. We pray and make way. The crossing to Lumbridge will take place at sunset so we move along a little early and hopes of making it back by morning. The ride is vary quiet and I begin to think. For the first time since I've awoken I have time to think. My thought drifts to my old friends. My old clan. See in the first war i wasn't exactly the 'figure head' or the 'mascot' The clan I lead was. We were named The Elite Rebels. We were just a group of men and women who were all good at what we did. I wasn't vary accepted at first but when I turned myself over to the rebels in hopes of fighting for their side, the counsel decided to place me on the team. They hated me, except my old friend Lady Lorna, she was the unmarried Duchess of Catherby. With nothing better to do she trained days at a time and mastered the art of archery.
The rest took time, me saving a couple of them and just proving myself in battle and was eventually accepted and pretty much named leader of the clan. Ivan was the brute of the bunch, He was skilled mainly in blunt weapons such as axes and hammers. He was a vary big man. He could throw me! Eliza wasn't exactly a peasant but wasn't exactly rich. Well, she was considered a peasant but I never saw her that way. She just seemed more proper. She also was vary skilled in sword fighting, but at the same time she could lead. She could sway a crowd of dwarfs to surrender to ants if she tried. And Stephanie, for a woman she could handel a bow. Most women just don't seem to even care about them but I dare say her skill out weighed mine! And Cameron was kind of distant but not really. No one could ever really figure him out but he was inhuman in battle. Before the war he was more of a rouge or assassin, traveling about wherever the money took him. The money happened to land him a spot of the Rebels but he wasn't that bad. A relatively nice guy just hard to figure out. He learned quickly to. The first few times we dueled I could win though not easily. But after a few times he could guess your moves and gain the upper hand.
Sadly Though, and these thoughts still haunt me, I remember how each of them died. Stephanie was first to go. Cought in rubble as some of Varocks walls were torn down. We were trapped inside the Grand Exchange market place and were trying to escape and the walls came down. We had to leave her or risk a lot of other rebels and peasants. She fought bravely from what I could see as I turned but the crowd blocked her out soon enough. Lorna went next, later in our final taking of Varrock, a stray rock from a catapult hit far to close to her perch and she was knocked off the wall she defended. I held Eliza herself as she died. We had pushed the last of the enemy and their leader, my brother Edward Vain, into The castle gates in Varock. Ivan was stabbed from behind and Eliza rushed to his side and tried to defend him in hopes of saving him, she was struck in the head by an arrow. Me and Cameron grabbed Ivan by the arms and drug him out of the gates and into a safer area and held his hands as he died. I saw Cameron cry for the first and only time that day. We entered the gates and captured the soldiers and Edward was executed the next day. That was the last time I saw Cameron. He just disappeared and I havn't seen him since. The next thing I notice is six men standing over me.
"Sir are you alright?!"
"Yes why?" It is then that I relize I've fallen off my horse and am laying on the ground. "My apologies, Get back on your horse and let us be gone." We keep riding and a few hours after dark we reach the gates. I see a strange man standing beside them and when he sees us he flees. I look behind me and shout "Give me a bow!"
"Sire its dark, you cant possibly make a shot" "GIVE ME A BOW NOW" Im handed a bow and slowly aim, giving account for his movement and let it fly, hearing a small yell and a slightly louder thud. I look behind me and say, "You forget who you tell he cant make a shot, not only the years training and years was experience, God is with me." The ride back is still silent and by daybreak we spot the gates to Lumbridge on the horizon and make way for it. The small wall has been destroyed and the gates mangled. I can see a little smoke rising from the Castle in Lumbridge and as we ride that way I can see the battle was probably ended toward the middle of the night. The white flag still hanging from the top of the castle. "Well men, it appears as though Lumbridge is ours, Tell Daniel I will be right along, there's a visit I need to make"
