After a few hours march we see the tower in the distance. A group of fifty soldiers are chosen for the raid lead by King Smith. The rest of us broke camp and waited and after almost an hour a white flag flutters down from the top of the tower. A wile later I see the band of soldiers carrying back the wounded, which strangely, consisted of burn wounds instead of stabbing. Then I spot Duke Smith. "Lord Smith, are you alright?!"

"I don't think so, they dumped hot oil on us." he reply's weakly" I stare in dismay, not really knowing what I can do.

"Get him an apothecary now!" I bark.

"No, no, none of that," he says. Go on to the pass and meet with the elves. Gather the rebels there. They will have a battle plan. Here, take my seal," he hands me a ring, "give this to them and explain everything. After you've gathered the rebels find the Temple Knights, if they are no longer there. Good luck Sir Vain. I believe my soul will rest in peace in the Fathers bosom. Gods speed!" And with that his eyes close.

He is still breathing but vary slowly until it finally comes to a stop. I might of been angry if not for what he said in the end. I believe to he is in a better place and I wouldn't call him back to this place for anything. Its still strange to watch the man that was my best friend and all but brother for years. Mean wile though there were a few pagan 'wizards' left and the decision was left to me on what to do. We couldn't take them and we couldn't leave them, because of their crimes in helping King Ragen it was decided by a counsel they would be executed and the ruling was taken out within the hour. We take the victuals, pray and eat with just enough over to feed us all for another day until we reach the Underground Pass, of which we would have to get through in less then three days. We begin our long march. One of the longest days of my life pass until we finally reach the mouth of a great cave.

West Ardougne is clearly in sight from here and we try to rush in before we are seen. Torches are lit. Vary few people tread this pass. It's a fearful place. Our band is attacked by vary strange creatures. Mutated dogs and bears. But then came the giant spiders, large enough to come past a mans ankle. We hacked and stabbed our way through until we finally see a light. It takes all we have not to make a mad dash! We reach it orderly and enter into the land of the elves. This place is indescribable. The best i could tell you is that the colors of this place, pale in comparison. Everything is brighter and more lively, for elves, in their love of nature, nuture everything around. Plus the area is simply a plush place to live. I can see why the refugees chose this place to retreat to.

Then several elves show up with bows drawn and aimed at me and random targets in the rest of our ,getting smaller, band.

          "Who are you!" they yell."

"I am Danny Vain, with the seal of King Smith of Falador, bringing news and troops. I must speak to your leader at once!"

"Bind him and cover his eyes," says the lead Elf.  My men begin to draw blades and bows but I order them to put them away. "Bring the new troops into the camp, Ill take the news bringer to Elder Frank." With that he binds me and places a blindfold over my eyes and walk me toward an unknown fate.
