*Anna*

Inhale.

Exhale.

Breathe, Anna.

Just breathe.

After nearly sprinting away from Luke, I was now sitting in a bathroom stall with my knees tucked to my chest and eyes squeezed shut, trying to calm the thoughts raging through my mind.

All I could think was Luke. Of course I knew that he got famous with his band but I didn't know that he would physically be here today. I also didn't realize that he had gotten so hot. Like, I thought he was when we were together but damn puberty hit that boy like a truck. I listen to their music and it's really good, he's always been so talented, but that's all the knowledge I have of them. I don't follow them on any social media and I don't see pictures of them anywhere except maybe once in a while on a magazine cover or something.

So I basically haven't seen him at all since we broke up and having it be a surprise shocked me more than I can describe. I even lost the diva facade for a second, hopefully nobody noticed.

I spent a solid ten minutes sitting in that bathroom trying to pull myself together before I finally took a deep breath and walked back into the hallway where Nancy, my manager, was waiting for me with a sour look on her face.

"Where have you been, Anna?" she asked in an annoyed tone. If anyone should sound annoyed here it's definitely me but she's literally the most irritable person I've ever met.

"Narnia. The door says it's a bathroom but if you go in the second stall you'll be in a magical world full of snow and talking animals."

"Quit it with the attitude! What were you doing in the bathroom for that long?"

"Do you really want to know the details? Because that's kind of weird, even for you."

"Anna," she said with a warning tone. I knew that tone meant I needed to talk otherwise I would either lose some of my paycheck or I'd have to do another stunt.

"Fine," I rolled my eyes at how ridiculous this situation was, "I ran into an ex that I wasn't expecting to see here and then sat in there trying not to have a full on breakdown."

"Luke?" She asked with an exasperated sigh.

"Yes."

"You dumped that boys years ago, Anna. Get over him already."

"That boy has a name! And I only dumped Luke because you forced me to," I nearly yelled. "Not to mention I'll probably never get to date anybody that I actually like ever again because of how much you control my life so what's the point of getting over him anyways?"

"Keep your voice down!" She hissed. Of course the only thing she cared about from that entire conversation was that other people could overhear. "Now go into the theater and they'll show you to your seat. After it's over I'll take you to the car and you'll be brought straight back to the hotel."

"Can't wait," I replied sarcastically. I walked away in the direction of the theater entrance, relieved that I could go in. Not only am I looking forward to seeing the movie but once I'm inside it'll be too dark for anyone to see my facial expressions and I'll be free of my manager. I can finally relax.
