*Anna*

"Good morning, Miss Carter," my favorite bodyguard said to me as he placed my morning coffee in my hand and opened the back door of the black SUV sitting by the curb.

"Morning, Will. Thanks for the coffee, you're a lifesaver." See, being the head of my security detail and practically always by my side, Will knew of the whole situation I was stuck in and that meant I could be nice to him. I planned on asking him to leave management with me once the whole story got out to the public because I liked having him around so much.  Although he was tough as nails and looked very menacing on the outside (he actually resembles Cobra Bubbles from Lilo and Stitch), Will was one of the nicest and most dedicated people I knew.

"Just doing my job, sweetheart," he stated, rejecting a complement as always, while closing the door.

After he got in the passenger seat and began to give the driver directions, my curiosity got the best of me and I asked, "So what's this meeting for anyways?"

"I've got no idea, you know Nancy won't tell me anything since she knows I'll tell you."

I sighed. "Damn. Do you think I'm in trouble for something?"

"No, she would've sent one of the guards that you don't like if you were in trouble."

"Yeah that's true," I agreed with relief. Meetings that I don't know the topic of always scare me, especially with my control freak of a manager.

"Relax, you'll be fine," his deep voice comforted. "There's a lot of traffic so this will be a pretty long drive if you wanted to get some more sleep."

He knows me and my love for sleep so well.

"Thanks, Will. Wake me up when we get there," I smiled. Napping in the car when you got up at 6am to go to some mystery meeting that's kind of terrifying you is the best.

"Where are we?" I groggily asked Will when I got out of the car.

"Some management headquarters a little bit outside of LA. Good nap?"

I yawned and nodded my head, looking up at the building in front of us. "What management?"

"I don't know, that's all I was told."

"Hm that's odd. I've never been here for a job before."  He just nodded and said nothing, leading me to the lobby of the building.

We took the elevator up to the top floor in silence because I was still waking up and I don't know about anybody else but I don't do conversations when I'm tired.

As our ascent slowed I took a deep breath, preparing myself to meet Nancy on the other side of the doors. Will sent me one last encouraging smile and patted my shoulder before the doors opened and he led me out into a large reception area with chairs for people to sit in while waiting. A group of four boys in hats sat with their backs to us, all either looking at their phones or staring at nothing- I guess I'm not the only one here who doesn't like early mornings.

About two steps into the room, Nancy jumped up and walked over to us. "You're late. And what did you do to your hair? And your face? You look like you just rolled out of bed! We've discussed this, Anna. You need to start putting more effort into your appearance, less people will like you if they don't think you're naturally pretty."
