*Luke*

"No."

"What? Why not?"

"Because it's a terrible, borderline inappropriate idea."

"Please?"

"Michael, you are not making a music video wearing speedos and dancing like Nicki Minaj," the director of our new music video sighed, running a hand through his hair. We had only been at this meeting for 15 minutes and he already seemed beyond done with us.

"Oh come on, man! The fans would love it!"

"I said no, Michael. That's my final answer," Carl ended the discussion, perfectly doing what we planned he would. "Now, does anyone else have an idea for this video? And I know I said 'there's no bad ideas' at the beginning of the meeting, but I was wrong. Please think about it before you say it out loud."

"What if we get, like, a popular actress to star in it?" Ashton suggested just like he said he would.

"Yes that's good. Well done, Ashton. So what actress do you boys think we should hire?" The four of us say there pretending to think about Carl's question for a bit even though we already knew who we wanted.

"Oh I've got one!" I announced with false surprise. "How about Anna Carter?"

Carlos let out yet another sigh, "You want to work with the diva?"

"Yes I do," I stated, trying to hide my annoyance.

"I agree with Luke," Calum spoke up. "She's so famous right now that it'll give us a lot more publicity, even if she's not famous for the best reason."

"That's true..." he trailed off. "You know what, I'll see if we can get her. You'll find out as soon as I know if she agrees to do it or not, but have a back-up idea in case she doesn't."

"Awesome, thank you, Carl. You're the man," Michael said as he stood up. It was clear to anyone that knew him that he was bored out of his mind and ready to get out of this meeting.

"Thanks, Michael. Now if you boys want to wait just a couple more minutes I can go in my office real quick and try calling her manager while you're still here."

"Wow that sounds great! Thanks, Carl," I said with a large smile, eager to hear if she'd be in our video or not.

As soon as the door of the conference room we were in shut behind Carl, Michael slumped forward onto the table and groaned, "I want to go hooome."

"Anna, what's wrong?" I asked wth a sleepy voice.

"I want to go home," she said through her tears. This was the first time I had seen my best friend cry and I was at a loss for what to do.

"Why? Did you not have fun?"

"I had so much fun but now it's dark and I miss my parents and I want to sleep in my own bed."

"Follow me, Anna," I whispered, leading her out of the room where the rest of the kids I had invited to my sleepover birthday party were.
