Author's note: hey guys, I'm sorry for the whole delay of this story, it's just that I was a little bit busy with helping my family out so I'm back. Today I am working on this story and my other story and my senior showcase for school. But for now enjoy this short story part.
Victoria's P.O.V.
Once I left the empty building with pearl and hand, I ran a fast as I could could I wanted to be home so bad I needed to be home I never been held up at knife point before & I knew Jade would give up Darius and where he lived, heck I would do it too if it was a choice between my daughter and my husband. I would give it my husband first especially since he cheated on her with my son's girlfriend at this time and now he's getting married to her that makes no sense.
I get back home and I find my son and Jade and my daughter waiting for me. We all instantly hugged and he cut a late late dinner considering that we all were hungry.
"So, what did they want"
"They were upset because apparently, your ex husband is building a casino over their homes and they're upset about it"
"That Darius, I knew something was up when all the sudden he got promoted to CEO. Why would he put so many people out of their homes just to build a casino which we have 20 of them already in the state?"
" I'm not sure but they sounded angry apparently they all got there than one of those empty buildings that was apparently an office building before it was forced to move out due to expansion of the casino."
" I bet it's all because of Amber's fault she wanted a casino so that she could have money. Why didn't I see it sooner she doesn't love Darius for him she loves him for this money."
" oh well why should I care it's his loss, besides he shoulda never cheated on me behind my back. Now I've fallen in love with someone else, I'm happy and I want my daughter to be happy."

Darius's P.O.V.
It's been a day since Amber was released from the hospital and we made up and I'm going to give us another shot.
KNOCK, KNOCK, KNOCK
KNOCK, KNOCK, KNOCK
"I'm coming, hold on"
I open the door and wham, everything goes black.
Author's note: So what do yall think happen to Darius, will he answer for his crimes or was there a bigger mastermind behind all of this.
