After escaping the conversation with Allison, Scott followed Boyd and Cora whilst I followed Derek back to the preserve. Derek called Scott and asked him if he lost Cora and Boyd. "Wasn't exactly the plan." Derek spoke into the phone. "Look, we're at the trails by the entrance to the preserve. Can you meet us here?" Derek asked before hanging up. Scott met us about 5 minutes later and Derek turned to me. "Run. Run Home and get Isaac. If you hear them following come and find us but warn us okay? But whatever you do. Don't stop running." I nodded and turned to leave but Derek grabbed my arm and made me look into his eyes. "I mean it. Don't stop running." He breathed out and I nodded before sprinting off to the loft to get Isaac. Luckily I got there without any prolems.
I ran up the stairs and into the loft where I found Peter dozing on the sofa. He jolted up when he heard me stomping up the stairs. "What happened?" He asked alarmed. "Where's Isaac?" I panted and Peter turned behind him where Isaac was resting. I breathed out a sigh of relief before rushing to Isaac's side. "Isaac. We need you. Are you okay? Can you help us?" I bombarded him and he looked slightly taken back. "I can help yeah." He nodded so I motioned for him to follow me before running back to Derek, relying on my sense of smell to guide me to him. Isaac and I arrived, panting heavily just as Scott put his phone away,
"This doesn't make any sense. The public pool is all the way on the other side of the woods. We haven't tracked them anywhere near there." Derek groaned out as I leaned against a tree. "Derek, they killed someone." Scott said. "How are they moving so fast?" Derek asked in frustration. "Derek." Scott sighed but Derek shook his head as Isaac and I shared confused glances. "But they can't be that fast on foot." Derek spoke, more to himself than anybody else. "They killed someone. Some totally innocent kid is dead... And it's our fault." Scott mumbled. "It's my fault." Derek looked down at the ground and I could feel his misery which made me sad as well. "We need help." Scott pointed out so I pointed at Isaac. "We have Isaac now." I said. "I mean real help. They're too fast for us, for all of us. They're too strong, too rabid." Scott explained as Isaac rose his eyebrows at him.
"We'll catch 'em." Derek stated. "What happens if we do? We just gonna hold them down until the sun comes up?" Isaac asked confused. "Maybe it would be easier just to kill 'em." Derek sighed but I shook his head. "Killing them isn't the right thing to do." I crossed my arms. "What if it's the only thing to do? If we can't even catch them, what else do we do?" Isaac argued and so I turned to Scott for help. "Find someone who knows what they're doing." Scott backed me up. "Who?" Derek asked with his usual frown. "Someone who knows how to hunt werewolves." I muttered along with Scott. Derek crocked his head to the side in doubt before giving in and leading Scott, Isaac and me to his car.
We drove to the supermarket parking lot where we saw Chris drop a bag of eggs. Scott quickly got out and stood behind Chris.
Chris eventually turned around and from the fright he automatically held a gun at Scott making my heart miss a beat.
"Do you two think this is gonna work?" I asked. "Nope." Isaac and Derek both shook their heads as I nodded, "Me neither.". After a few minutes of silence Isaac thought it would be a good idea to ask Derek about his sister "So your, uh... your sister..." He started but Derek just glared at Isaac with his eyebrows raised. "Sorry, yeah, it's... It's bad timing, I'm sorry. I'll ask later. It's fine." Isaac pursed his lips but this time Derek gave him an even worse glare making me chuckle. "Or never. Yeah, yeah, I'm good with never." Derek nodded along whilst I continued watching Chris and Scott talk. Suddenly Scott got into Chris's car and they drove off, Derek following subtly. I kept my eyes on the car in front of us and we somehow ended at the public pool where Chris stopped for a short while before driving to the preserve where he got out along with Scott. They marched into the woods on their own. Isaac, Derek and I shared a glance before following quickly. Scott and Chris were standing in the middle off the woods and Chris knelt down as we approached them.
