He actually left.
"Come on. Let's get Derek." Stiles turned around but when he noticed that I wasn't going anywhere he sighed and walked up to me. "Lu...come on." Stiles gave me a hug before steering me towards the door. I gave up and walked down the stairs towards the lift where Derek was unconscious.
Stiles kneeled down and started slapping Derek, when he went for the punch Derek caught Stiles fist and shot up. "Where is she?" He panted and I leaned against the wall off the elevator, trying to calm myself down. I was completely overwhelmed.
"Jennifer? Gone with Scott's mom." Stiles helped Derek up. "She took her?" Derek wondered and I silently nodded. "Yeah, and if that's not enough of a kick to the balls, Scott left with Deucalion, okay? So we gotta get you out of here. The police are coming right now, and we gotta get you the hell out of here." Stiles muttered, glancing at me but I just shook my head.
"What about Cora?" Derek stopped and looked at me. I sighed again and walked ahead, not ready to talk just yet. "Peter's got her. Go and see what they're doing. Lucia and I will talk to the police." With that Derek jogged out of the hospital.
"Oh, just perfect." Stiles muttered as Scotts Dad walked towards us.
"Two Stilinskis at the center of this whole mess. What a shocker. Think you two can answer some questions without the usual level of sarcasm?" The Agent teased us and I just rolled my eyes. "If you can ask the questions without the usual level of stupid." Stiles retorted."Where's your dad, and why's no one been able to contact him?" Scotts Dad nodded his head at my cousin.
"I don't know. I haven't seen him in hours." Stiles muttered.
"Is he drinking again?" My jaw dropped and my head shot up to glare at Agent Mccall. "What do you mean, again? He never had to stop." Stiles defended his dad as I felt the anger raise in me.
"But he did have to slow down. Is he drinking like he used to?"
"All right, how about this? Next time we see him, we'll give him a field sobriety test, okay? We'll do the alphabet, start with "F", end with U." I growled and Agent Mccall chuckled before shaking his head. "How about you two just tell me what the hell happened here?" He crossed his arms and I rolled my eyes.
"We don't know what happened here. We were stuck in the elevators the whole time." I spat, glaring at Scotts father.
"You're not the one who put the name on the doors, are you?" Agent crossed his arms in a challenging manner and I furrowed my eyebrows. We asked what name and I gasped when he told us.
"I'm going to Derek's." I whispered before running out of the hospital and to Dereks loft.
I walked in on Isaac shouting at Derek, "Want to figure something out? Because while Scott and Stiles were out there trying to help people from being killed, you were in here, rolling around the sheets with the actual killer. Do you get how many people she's killed? Erica and Boyd are dead, Cora is dying, and you are doing nothing! Why'd you do this to us, Derek? Was it all about the power? Were you bored? Were you lonely?" Isaac kept getting more and more in Derkes face so I stepped forward.
"Maybe. I told Cora I wouldn't leave. I'll help the others when I figure out how to help her." Derek whispered.
"There's no time!" Isaac yelled, his veins showing how angry he actually was.
"The full moon's coming. The sheriff and Melissa are gonna be dead, so I'm gonna try and help them. You can sit here and perfect the art of doing nothing." Isaac shot past me and slammed the door behind me.
I decided to go and help Isaac so I left Derek without saying a word and sprinted after Isaac.
I ended up in the vault where the Alpha pack kept Boyd, Erica and Cora. I walked in on Allison shaking and having tears in her eyes. "What happened?" I asked Isaac as we led Allison out of the vault. "Chris led us here, then electrocuted me and sacrificed himself." Isaac sighed as my jaw dropped. Holy shit. That means Jennifer or whatever her name is has all the parents.
"Guys...Stiles just texted me. He wants us to meet him at Deatons." I announced, tucking my phone into my back pocket.
"How'd you guys find out?" Scott asked Stiles as Allison, Isaac and I entered the room.
"Lydia. You?"
"Morrell. None of the other alphas know where it is either." Scott whispered, turning to look at me.
I just shook my head and hid behind Isaac.
"So if this works, are you gonna tell them?" Stiles asked, after shooting me a sympathetic smile.
"I can't stop Jennifer without them." Scott confirmed.
"How about we concentrate on finding your parents first?" Deaton crossed his arms, once again getting my attention.
"What's the plan?" I asked.
"Essentially, Scott, Allison, and Stiles need to be surrogate sacrifices for their parents." He explained and my heart dropped.
"We die for them?" Scott coughed.
For heavens sake. In how many ways can I possibly lose Scott?
"But he can bring us back. You can... you can bring us back, right?" Stiles pursed his lips and turned to the vet.
"You remember the part where I said it was dangerous? If it goes right, the three of you will be dead for a few seconds, but there's something else you need to think about. This is a dangerous thing for more reasons than one. You'll be giving power back to the Nemeton, a place that hasn't had power for a long time. This kind of power is like a magnet. It attracts the supernatural, the kind of things that a family like the Argents can fill the pages of a bestiary with. It will draw them here, like a beacon."
"Doesn't sound any worse than anything we've already seen." Stiles shrugged.
"You'd be surprised at what you have yet to see." That statement made my heart drop even further.
"Is that it?" I asked, slowly getting impatient.
"No. It'll also have an effect on the three of them. They won't be able to see it, but they'll feel it every day for the rest of their lives. It'll be a kind of a darkness around their heart, and permanent, like a scar."
"Is there no other way?" I asked, stepping in front of Isaac.
Issac squeezed my shoulder, a sign that everything would be alright.
"No." Deaton shook his head.
"All right. What did you bring?"
"Um, I got my dad's badge. Jennifer kind of crushed it in her hand, so I tried hammering it out a bit. Still doesn't look great." Stiles sighed and I briefly closed my eyes.
"Well, it doesn't need to look good if it has meaning. Is that an actual silver bullet?" Deaton asked Allison surprised and I turned my attention to her.
"My dad made it. It's kind of a ceremonial thing. When one of us finishes learning all the skills to be a hunter, we forge a silver bullet as a testament to the code." I pulled a grimace and turned to my ex boyfriend.
"Scott?"
"My dad got my mom this watch when she first got hired at the hospital. She used to say it was the only thing in their marriage that ever worked." I smiled at him before realising what I was doing.
"Okay, the three of you will get in. Each of us will hold you down until you're essentially... Well, dead. But it's not just someone to hold you under. It needs to be someone who can pull you back, someone that has a strong connection to you, a kind of emotional tether. Lydia... You go with Stiles." I smiled, feeling happy about that until Deaton told me to stand behind Scott.
I sighed and stood behind the bathtub.
"By the way, if I don't make it back and you do, you should probably know something. Your dad's in town." Stiles whispered to Scott.
Great timing cousin.
I placed my hands on Scott's shoulder and pushed him down. Getting a sort of déjà vu.
