It was soon going to be four in the morning and sky was painted with half tones of grey. One could vaguely  make out the silhouette of a small boy sitting on the chair by the window. The door creaks open to reveal Sebastian Michaeis, a tall handsome man wearing white shirt, white gloves white socks, black tailcoat, black trousers and polished black shoes accompanied by a silver watch in his pocket. A perfect attire for a butler of Victorian age. His eye seem to have an uneven glow of supernatural which suited his long face.

He faced the chair, bent down with candlestick in hand  and cried, "Master."

The head of the figure seemed to slightly tilt back as his greetings are returned by a remark. "Ah! Sebastian I see that you have shown our visitors the phantomhive hospitality."

"Yes Mi'lord!" he replied and continued "They all seemed very adamant but at last they were so pleased by it that I don't think that they will ever dare set their foot ever again  in the mansion."

"Good! Did you gather more information about the murder?"

"Yes Mi'lord! It was reported that the Chancellor Mr. Edburd Crimson died the previous night when and intruder made his way through the window of his study and stabbed him in his chest and ran out of the door. But when I investigated the scene I found that his nail and lips showed purples proving he died due to consumption of poison. Thus, he may have been stabbed after poisoning. Secondly I found the shards of glasses to be more outside than inside meaning the window was broken from inside and not outside. Thus, showing a highly contrasting scenario.

"Hmm, let's go through it once again."

"Yes Mi'lord! There were total of five people present at the time of the crime in the Crimson Mansion  --  the chancellor's wife, Mariposa Crimson Gray; his brother, Phillip  Crimson; his son, Edward Crimson Gray; his butler, Mr Langdon Goodwork and his maid; Samantha Daniels."

He continued, "At nine Mrs. Crimson retired to her bed. Mr. Edburd Crimson went his study. At nine-thirty Mr. Phillip Crimson went to his brother's room after playing a game of chess with his nephew. Master Edward stayed in the recreation room to play billiard alone. The servants started working in kitchen to prepare for the next day. At ten-thirty the maid started her ritual of diming corridor lights she had just reached the first floor. When there was a loud crash of window breaking and then loud painful groans. The maid rushed first got pushed and hit her temples. The butler came next and saw her lying on floor and helped her. She pointed towards the study and cried "Master.... master...mmm" and became unconscious. Till then Master Edward had also arrived and both of them rushed to the study. They found it locked therefore called and knocked but got no response. Disturbed by the commotion Mrs Crimson and Mr. Phillip Crimson arrived. There was no key other than the one in possession of the chancellor himself so they decided to break the door. Thus after three to four push by the trio they were able to barge in only to find the chancellor bleeding on his chair. The brother checked his pulse and pronounced him dead. The maid was given first aid and the police was informed about the mishappening."
