"What are their alibi?"

"Well none of them seem to have a perfect alibi but none the less his wife, Mariposa said that was sleeping soundly in her room when she heard loud calls and banging. Judging the urgency of the situation she quickly walked out of her bed into the corridor and was half way accompanied by Mr.Philip."

"Mr. Philip too dictated a similar account. He said he was waiting quietly for his brother to discuss about some land dealing but fell asleep. He was woken by the bustle caused in the corridor. He got up from his chair and rushed towards the study. On his way he found the maid lying down on the floor but ignored her and continued his path where he later was accompanied by Mrs. Crimson."

"Mr.Edward, his son said that he was busy in playing billiards alone in the recreation room when he heard the noise of window breaking followed by painful screams. He rushed towards the corridor and saw the servant holding the injured maid. And rest is same as earlier."

"Now moving on to the servant Mr. Langdon. He said that he went to the kitchen precisely at ten and was preparing for the forthcoming meal when at eleven he heard the call bell from the study. Then when he washing his hands he heard the shattering of the window. He was on his way to study when he heard painful groans he hastily climbed the stairs and found the maid lying on the first floor and the rest we know."

"On the other hand the second victim maid Samantha said that she had been doing her daily chore of dimming the lights and closing doors and Windows. But when she arrived at the first floor she heard the window breaking and her master's painful groans.Just as she was going towards the study she saw a figure covered with black woolen blanket running towards her and suddenly she was hit by a hard thing and she lost her balance and fell on the ground. Then with her half closed eyes she felt someone holding her which she later found was it Mr.Langdon who had also given first aid. So that's it master."

"Hmm..I see. But tell me Sebastian did Mrs.Crimson also see the maid on floor?" asked the small figure.

"No, master apparently she didn't. Her mind was so involved reaching the study fast that she didn't even notice anything around."

I see. Well...well the imperfect alibi makes the case more complicated. It's as if anyone can be the possible killer but it does seems that someone is really very bad at lying or someone is still lurking in the house. But I presume that the former is true. Did the watchmen see any suspicious person entering or leaving that night?"

"No master"

"Listen Sebastian go and find all the crimes, newspaper reports, business deals etc involving the Chancellor."

"Yes Mi'lord!" Sebastian replied to the small boy named Ciel Phantomhive sitting by the window. The early rays of the sun had illuminated his face and his black attire comprising of greyish black shirt, black fancy coat accompanied by black leather left eye patch and black shoes and shocks. His blue eye where glistening like seawater in the sun.
Sebastian kept his notes on a table beside Ciel and jumped out of the window.

Meanwhile Ciel picked up the notes and turned to the page showing pictures and description about the victims and the suspects.
