    Steam danced around the room as Kaisuke and Alice soaked themselves in the bath. They didn't have long though. They needed to meet up with Xernia and head for the gala. But he couldn't help but think about the talk he had with Nurse Faith just a few minutes ago.

    “Kaisuke, could you come here a second?”

The nurse called to him before he made his way to the shower.

    “What’s up?” he asked.

    “Listen, I'm sorry for only yelling at you this morning, but…”

    “Buut”?

     “You're fourteen now Kaisuke. Don't you think you're getting too old for these antics?”

    Kaisuke didn't reply.

    “Don't take this the wrong way, but this kind of stuff isn't cute anymore. You're growing into a young adult and you need to start acting like it. Yes, being a pokemon trainer grants you independence, but it also grants you great responsibility.”

    Once again, Kaisuke didn't know how to answer, he wanted to argue, but his gut was telling him she was right. All he could do was bow and say “I'm sorry ma'am. It won't happen again. Promise.”

    The nurse gave him a smile and hugged him.

    “It's okay. Just keep that in mind from now on, okay? Besides, I know you're just showing off for that girl.”

    What was she talking about? His cluelessness must of shown because the nurse gave him a funny look and asked, “You HAVE hit puberty right?”

    “I think so.”

    “That's not helping your case…”

    “I'm immature...aren't I?” He asked alice, who soaked nearby thinking about her own day.

    Alice almost laughed, but saw Kaisuke's solemn expression and realized he was serious.

    

    Yeah. You are. She answered. But that's nothing to be TOO ashamed of. Boys take longer to mature than girls.

    “So is that why Xernia is so cool? She's all quiet and reserved. She's like crobatman!”

    Of all the comparisons you've ever made, that has to be the worst. But yeah. She's more mature, but she's also four years older than you.

    “One! I'm turning fifteen soon!”

    Whatever. In my defense, you don't know her birthday so you can't say for sure. Either way, she has an edge over you experience-wise, so don't start comparing yourself to her.

    Then a thought hit Kaisuke that Alice could almost read off his face.

    “She's also mastered mega evolution…”

    Alice waded over to Kaisuke and wrapped a feeler around his arm.

    Now you're not being fair to yourself. She likely did better research than we did on mega-evolution than we did. Besides, you can't really compare a salamence to an Altaria. Altaria is clearly the calmer pokemon.
