Chapter 5
CHARLIE'S POV
I woke up screaming as my mother sat beside me on the bed.
"Shhhh, It's alright now." mom said as she was stroking my cheek.
"Where am I? What happened?" I said, confused.
"You were in an accident, so we're at the hospital." Mom said and took hold of my hand,
"Just rest, honey." She said as I heard her voice slowly fade away into an echo as everything went black again.

JACK'S POV
A month had passed, and we had still not heard from Charlie nor her mother.
Finn was waiting anxiously by the telephone every day, but Mrs. Jones never called.
*phone ringing
"Finn! It's your phone!" I stood by the staircase and shouted up to Finn as he was sitting in his room by the computer.
I heard foot steps running along the hall upstairs, and Finn came down to answer his phone as I went to the living room to watch some tv.
"Finn here,"
"What..?" he sounded concerned, so I peeked around the corner.
He was standing completely still and stared out the window with a worried look in his eyes.
"I see.. Okey, bye." He hung up.
"You alright, mate?" He didn't answer.
"Finn?" I tried getting his attention,
"Uh, yeah?" He looked at me.
"Who was on the phone?"
"It was Mrs. Jones," he said, leaning against the wall.
"She told me Charlie had no memory which means she doesn't remember me.." I put my hand on his shoulder,
"And there's more, she said I should keep away until Charlie remembers me herself-" his voice broke, and with hesitation, he went in for a tight hug.

FINN'S POV
-a week later-
I was lying on my bed as Jack came along and leaned against the doorframe.
"Finn, you need to get yourself up and go outside." Jack said.
"Yeah, I'll just finish the-"
"No, Finn! Now." he said and pushed himself off the doorframe as he walked away.
"What about you?" I shouted after him.
"I feel a bit sick today, actually, I think I have a fever or something!" he called back from his room as I put the book away and stood up from the bed to go outside for a short penny ride.
-
I felt the fresh breeze of the summer wind blowing through my hair as I was skating down hill and spotted our house at the end of the road.
"Watch out!" a lady yelled as a small dog ran out in the middle of the street.
I managed to spare the dog, but fell off the board myself and landed on the asphalt as I watched the penny board roll down the street.
"Oh my! Are you alright?" the woman exclaimed as she went over to help me up.
"I'm fine, thanks!" I said and got up to run after the board.
