Chapter 6

FINN'S POV

"Hey there pretty. What's your name?"

"I'm whoever you want me to be." she answered seductively, moving closer.

"You see, I have a girlfriend.." I said, taking hold of her hand and pulling her in.

"She doesn't have to know anything." she put her arms around my neck as she leaned in for a kiss.

"Oh yeah?" I whispered as she almost brushed her lips against mine, her eyes filled with lust as she pulled away to tease me.

"Stop teasing me-"

She cut me off, "Or what?"she said with a harsh tone as she took hold on the collar of my shirt and pushed me towards the wall, but I stopped and pushed back against her.

"Please get yourselves a room." Jack said as he came upstairs, heading for his room while he was holding a tray with a glass of orange juice and a croissant.

He didn't look at us, but I noticed Charlie's body stiffen and she removed her hand from my shirt as her sight was lowered to the ground. She stepped back to let Jack through, and ever so slightly, Jack faintly glanced over at her as he passed.

"Is something wrong?" I asked her as Jack closed his bedroom door behind him and Charlie let her shoulders down along with a faint sigh.

"No, no." she smiled and raised her hand to brush off some imaginary dust on my shirt before turning to head down stairs.

CHARLIE'S POV

"Do you mind giving me another pillow?" Finn said with a tired voice as we were laying in the bed.

I reached down on my side of the bed and fetched a pillow to give it too Finn along with a peck on the lips as he put it under his head.

He wrapped his arm around my waist and pulled me closer as I turned to the side and felt his body spoon my back. I heard him inhale and he blew a stray of hair into my face as he exhaled again. I reached out to the light switch to turn the lights off, and tucked the stray of hair behind my ear as I snugged up against him and pulled the covers over us.

"I love you." he whispered into my ear and kissed my cheek,

"I love you too, Finnegan." I said and laid down on my pillow as I heard Finn slowly fall asleep, occasionally letting out small snores.

My mind wouldn't rest, so I stayed awake for a while, putting my head on Finn's bare chest as he was fast asleep, and just looked around the room.

We had been together for over a year now, and had made a trip to IKEA last week, where we bought a double bed, white curtains for the huge window so people wouldn't manage to look in from the street, a bookshelf to fit all of our books in, a red (very red) rug, a plant which Finn named Sir Thomas and last but not least (drum roll) a bed for our new dog, Henry.

"Henry, come here boy!" I whispered to the golden retriever, laying in its bed by the bedroom door.

Finn didn't like that the dog would sleep in the bed, so I waited for Finn to fall asleep and lifted our new puppy into the bed.

"No, stop it!" I whispered to Henry as he licked Finn's face when I lifted the rather heavy puppy over my sleeping boyfriend.

Henry curled up into a little ball as he chose his spot between me and Finn, and occasionally licked Finn's bare back when he would mutter something in his sleep.

Henry was now fast asleep aswell as Finn, but I could still not close my eyes, so I decided to get out of bed and head downstairs to make myself a cup of tea.

I carefully lifted Henry's head off my shoulder and took away Finn's heavy arm, wrapped around me. Slowly, I put my feet on the floor and stood up from the bed to walk over to the door. The doorknob made a slight squeak as I turned it around to open the door and when closing it behind me, though I was trying to be as quiet as humanly possible..

Light like a feather, I tiptoed along the hall to reach the stairs and silently went down step by step, heading over to the dark kitchen. I switched the lights on as they lit up the room, revealing the small, red tea kettle on the counter by the sink.

It was quite dark outside, so I could see my own reflection in the window and noticed I had forgotten my robe upstairs and was only wearing my pyjama pants and a bra, so I pulled the curtains infront of the window and went over to the tea kettle to make some tea.

As I was standing by the oven, I felt strong arms wrapping around me and a hard body against my back. I lifted my head as he kissed my neck, and took hold of his hand, looking at the skull ring on his finger.

"You've turned on the wrong plate, love." he said and reached over to move the tea kettle to the right spot.

"Thanks, I haven't got my contacts in and my glasses are upstairs." I said, turning around and wrapping my arms around his neck and felt his hands moving to my hips as he kissed my neck again.

"You look so sexy," He said in between the soft kisses he placed on my collar bones.

"Well, you too, Finnegan." I said as I moved my hand up to his hair to play around with it as I noticed,

"Why is your hair longer?" I stiffened.

"Jack! What the hell?!" I raised my voice, pushing him off and grabbing the kitchen towel to cover up.

"Charlie, don't fight it. I know you feel it too, every time we look at each other." he said with a calm voice, taking hold of my hand.

"No stop! I'm with your brother, Jack, please don't do this." I pulled my hand out of his and stepped backwards.

"Please Charlie, give me one last chance... Remember the days we spent together when Finn was in America." he said and stepped towards me.

"Jack, I can't do this anymore... It can never happen again." I said as my voice nearly broke and I was pointing out of the kitchen for him to leave.

He tried saying something and I could see the pain in his eyes, "No, just go." I said as he turned around and walked out of the kitchen.

"And don't forget to put Finn's ring back where you found it!" I called after him, and was left standing alone in the kitchen, with my hands steady planted on the counter and leaning over the sink, feeling like I was about to vomit my intestines.

I had been feeling sick for over a month, and felt the urge to puke all the time.

"You alright, love?" someone said behind me, wrapping his arms around me again and kissing my cheek.

"I said NO! Now go away, and don't forget to put the ring back!" I said and pushed the person behind me away.

"What's wrong? You've been acting rather grumpy lately," it was Finn, not Jack...

"Oh! I so sorry, honey." I apologised as I had pushed Finn away, and wrapped my arms tightly around him and buried my face in his t-shirt.

"Still not sleeping?" he said and put his hands around my waist as we started swinging back and forth a bit.

".. I just had to make myself a cup of tea, that's all." I said and looked up to give him a light kiss on the cheek, and slipped out of his arms as I held onto his hand and guided him upstairs.
