Coraline 2: The sequel.

5, 4, 3, 2, 1

“Happy new year” everyone shouted out as soon as it became midnight. Miss Spink and Forcible had a new year’s party downstairs in their apartment. Everyone was at the New Year’s party from Mr Bobinsky to Coraline’s parents including Coraline. Whybie and his family with his grandmother.

As Coraline wished Whybie a happy new year, Coraline’s parents found her and interrupted her.

“Hey Coraline.” Coraline’s father Charlie said.

“Happy new year!!” Coraline’s mother announced.

Coraline turned around to Whybie and told him.

“Sorry just give me a moment.”

Coraline’s father protested.“So you got any new year’s resolution yet Coraline.”

Coraline’s mother interrupted and gave a suggestion.“How about stop making silly stories about that little door, its giving me the creeps now.” Someone patted Coraline’s mother on her back, it was Miss Spink and Forcible.

Once Coraline's mother gave that suggestion, Coraline started to get flashbacks. The one and only clear one was when she was asked to sew buttons onto her eyes. Coraline remembers the other mother saying.

“There’s just one tiny little thing we need to do. For you our little doll.” As Coraline wanted to get out of her flashback as quick as she wanted to get out of the other world, Coraline shouted;

“NOOOOOOO.” Then everyone turned round to see who shouted “No”. Coraline could feel herself heating up from embarrassment. Then all of a sudden she saw something, something rolled across the room. Coraline thought it looked like… like the other mothers spy, the little doll. The one that looks like her. Then Coraline felt a cold shiver run down her spine, she gasped in a whisper as Whybie approached her behind her back. Whybie asked in a whisper.

“What’s wrong?”

 Coraline answered back in a scared tone.

“The other mother is back!”

Whybie’s eyes widened in shock and he hesitated to answer back. Coraline demanded Whybie to stay in the position he was in. Coraline ran up to her parents, snatched the house keys out of Charlies pocket and ran toward miss Spink and miss Forcible’s front door to get out. On her way, Coraline grabbed Whybie by his arm and started running towards the door. As they were running, Coraline’s parents shouted.

“Where are you going?”

Coraline shouted back.

“Home and tell Whybie parents as well!”

As they run out the door and into the dark, gloomy night they ran into Coraline’s house, locked all the doors and windows and Coraline started to announce to Whybie.

“The other mother is coming back for me!”

Whybie in a shocked tone replied.

“Wha… What. How do you know?”

Coraline replied in a quick sharp tone.

“Look ill make this quick. We were at the New Year’s party. I got a flashback of when the other mother wanted to sew buttons into my eyes and when the flashback stopped…”

Coraline paused, gulped and began again.

“I saw something. Coraline whispered as she was getting closer to Whybie.

Whybie answered. “Well… What did you see?”

“I saw… the other mother’s spy, the doll that looks like me. Run across the floor in Miss Spink and  Forcible's apartment”

Whybie swallowed hard and load and tilted his head to the left. Coraline and Whybie stared at each other in shock for a few seconds. As they were staring at each other, they both heard a big THUMP coming from the living room. They then stopped staring at each other and headed to the living room. Coraline; Holding her hands close to together and Whybie walking with his hands in his pockets. Coraline’s heart was beating so fast, it felt as if she missed a beat.
