I've been hurt
I put on a smile
I shelter my feelings
And hide for a while
No one has cracked me
No one has gotten through
The one girl I trusted
I wanted her to
But just like everyone else
She didn't care
She was too selfish
To even dare
It seems when I lean
I hit empty air
No one ever catches me
No one is there
I'm alone in my mind
Trying to find one person
I can hide behind
It only gets worse
From here on out
I won't shed a tear
