Chapter Twenty

Tony's POV

I called Amber and told her everything that had happened.

"Oh my god is she ok? Please tell me she's ok. She's my best friend, I can't lose my best friend." Amber said whilst crying. I waited until she was done before speaking.

"Well, they said she didn't have any broken bones or anything like that, but she's in a come. Her doctor said that talking to her might help her come out of it a little faster." I said my voice shaking a bit. There was a short pause before Amber said anything back to me.

"C-can I uhm...can I come and see her?" she asked reluctantly, like I was going to say no.

"Yeah sure, I mean if you want to." I replied. See it's not that I didn't like Amber, because I did. It was the fact that she hated me for no reason is what made me mad at her. I didn't want to be around her, but this wasn't about me. I put my feelings to the side.

"Ok I'll uh I'l be there in 10" 

"Mmkay then" 

"Bye Tony"

"Bye"

~~~~10 minutes later~~~~

I guess I was asleep because Amber had shook me awake. I opened my eyes and groaned. Not because of her, but because I was having a good dream about Ashley and I. 

"Hey" She said her voice almost a whisper. Her eyes were bloodshot showing she'd been crying.

"Hi" I said "I'll go wait in the hall to give you some time with her" Amber only nodded and I went to the hall. I waited for about twenty minutes before Amber came back out. I smiled a half broken sad smile and she returned it.

"Look Tony, I know you think I hate you, but I don't. I know this isn't about our friendship, but this needs to be said.

"She began. I nodded for her to go on. "I used to think that you were trying to take her from me, but then I realized that...you two are in a relationship and that it's ok for you to want to be around each other all the time. I finally understand what it's like because I found someone and that's why I canceled Ashley and I's plans for today. All in all Tony, I don't hate you and I'd like to have a friendship with you?" She took a deep breath and looked at her phone before speaking once again.

"I have to get to work, let me know if the doctor says anything or if anything else happens" She said. i nodded and watched her walk away. I went back into the room and sat down. I slowly drifting off to sleep. Hoping that something anything would happen....

Ashley's POV

"Where am I and why are you here? Why am I here?" I looked at my mom wondering what was going on. I looked over to my dad and then back to my mom.

'AM I DEAD?" I yelled asked. My mother only laughed

"No honey, your in a coma." She said softly.

"How did I get here?" I asked, this time my father spoke up.

"You were in a nasty car crash." He began "But don't worry you don't have any broken bones, just some bruises, but that's it." His voice was raspy and deep, but I missed it. I only nodded in response to what he said. I looked to the water fall thinking when my mom began to speak.

Your father and I, we're here to show you just important you are to people. To us, to Amber, to Tony." she stopped to take a breath. "I seen everything dear, from you not eating telling Tony not to worry about it. To cutting, to taking those pills. I'm not mad, but sad that'd you'd think of taking your life at only 19. Which reminds me. Your 20th birthday is tomorrow. So happy early birthday." She said with a smile. Just then I heard something. It sounded like a voice.......Tony's voice? I looked over to my mom who was only smiling and mouthed "listen to him" and so I did. his voice was soft at first, but then got louder.

"Ashley baby if you can hear me, please wake up. I need you so much..I don't know what I'd do without you. Please Ashley, I love you so much. You're my Ashbear....if you don't wake up who am I going to kiss goodnight and cuddle with? Who am I going to wake up to in the morning? Please don't leave me here by myself.."

I looked over to my mom who had tears running down her face. It was silent for a minute until I heard Tony crying. I had to get out of here. Even though I was happy here with Snowball, my mom, and my dad, I knew I belonged with Tony. I looked at my mom.

"Why are you crying mom?" I asked. She wiped her face and smiled at me.

"What he said. You belong with him Ashley. Out of every boy I've seen you with, I know for a fact that he's the one." She said her smile growing wider. "Never lose him ok? Keep him for as long as you can" I nodded.

"How do I get out of here? I mean how do I wake up?" I asked. They both frowned.

"That's up to you dear" My father said."Only you can find your own way out of here" I nodded slowly. 

"We should get going now" My mom said softly, my father nodded in agreement. They both gave me a hug and a kiss on the cheek. 

"Goodbye, I love you" My parents said at the same. I smiled

"I love you too." I said back before bending down to pick up Snowball and walking in the other direction, in which I came from. Just then a bright light was shining in the distance and I knew this was my way out of here. I kissed Snowball's head one last time and set him down. I began running towards the light. Just then I woke up in the hospital.
