Chapter 6: Rayne

I woke up in the arms of yet another person I did not love. This shit was starting to get old for me. Escorting and fucking niggas was just not in me anymore. When I was much younger, all I thought about was money and fame. Being with dudes was just a way of getting by for me. But as time went on, I didn't want to do it anymore. The only reason why I got into it again was because of King. He showed me so much love and compassion. Even though he told me he didn't want to mix business with pleasure, I still fell hopelessly in love with him. King was the first person who showed me that my life has meaning. I was spiraling out of control, and I didn't know how to stop it. When I first met King, I thought he was just another person who was looking for a quick fuck, but instead, he came to me with a business proposition. He took me shopping and treated me to the lavish lifestyle, but he never pursued me. I'm not gon lie, that shit hurt like hell; it still does. I fell in love and I fell hard. It's a hopeless romance, I know, but hopefully he can see me for the real woman I am. I peeled Echo's arm from around my waist and proceeded to the bathroom. I washed myself off and gathered my clothes; I was ready to get the fuck out of this place. I got all the information I needed; my job here is done. "Where are you going?" I turned around and Echo was sitting up in the bed. "I'm sorry baby, I didn't want to wake you." I tried to think of something to say so I can leave. "Where are you going?" Echo repeated again. "I have to go pick up my daughter." I lied, "I'll be back before you know it." I kissed Echo on the lips wishing it was King's lips instead of his. "Call me, aight?" Echo said. I nodded and jetted out of the hotel room.
