Chapter 27: Nasir

{Few Days Later}

“Mommy, I want this!” Today, we all decided to go out and spend some time together. The whole crew was here including Trent. Everybody was getting along with him well. But what’s important is that Keymani likes him. Keymani, Lizbeth, Myra, Rayne, Yani and I were in Victoria Secrets while the guys were somewhere else in the mall. Myra insisted on bringing Rayne even though she knows I don’t like that hoe. I already know I’ll have to interact with her more now that she’s with Terrence. “Mommy, I want this!” Keymani repeated. She had a thong in her hands. “Girl, give me that!” I snatched it out of her hands, “Little girls don’t wear these!”

“But you have them in your dresser.” Keymani pouted her lips. Lizbeth started to laugh. “I’m not a little girl and stay out of my dresser!” We walked around Victoria Secrets for about fifteen minutes then we left. I bought perfume, lotion, and two new bra and panty sets. Keymani and Yani wanted some new clothes, so I bought them to Justice. “So how are things with Terrence?” Myra asked Rayne. “Oh my God, he is everything I always wanted. He came to my house last night.” I rolled my eyes. What does Terrence see in her? She’s probably nothing but a gold digging hoe. “You really must not like her.” Lizbeth said. “I don’t and I made it known. She rubs me the wrong way. Every time she sees me, she gives me that look like, ‘Bitch, I know something you don’t know.’”

“You think she had something to do with King?”

“I don’t know, but that’s what I’m thinking. Obviously she had something to do with him before he died, but it makes me think if he fooled around with her. And if he did, were we together at the time.”

“I doubt he cheated on you Nasir.”

“But what if he did Liz?”

“Why does it matter? He’s dead!” I glared at Lizbeth, “I’m sorry but he is. Just move on. You’re with Trent now, right?”

“No. I told you we’re just friends.”

“Bull-fucking-shit! You know you wanna be with him. You introduced him to everybody; you might as well cuff him. Shit, he fine. If I wasn’t engaged, I’ll smash.” Lizbeth licked her lips. “What’s up with you and Tyrone anyway?”

“I haven’t really talked to him since I moved out. He wanted to spend time with Cam today; he tried to talk to me, but I wasn’t trying to hear it.”

“Maybe you need to talk to him Lizzie.”

“You don’t understand Nasir. When we got into that argument, for the first time, I saw Tyrone the killer. I was scared for my life. I don’t want to feel that again.” I rubbed her back and nodded my head. “It’s going to be okay, but if you want to keep this relationship, you have to talk to him.”

“I’ll talk to him when we meet up at the food court.”

Trent POV

“Cameron, bring your picked-headed ass back here. Stop running around like you lost your mind!” Terrence, Tyrone, Jay, Cameron, and I were in Foot Locker. Tyrone was trying to put shoes on Cameron’s feet, but he kept running away. It was funny how Tyrone was running after Cameron around the store. “Bad ass lil nigga!”

“Aye! Stop cussing my nephew out!” Terrence said. “Man, fuck you!” Tyrone said grabbing Cameron and hoisting him over his shoulder. “Excuse me sir, please refrain from using provocative language in this establishment.” One of the customers said; it was a middle-age white man. He was in here with his son. “Well excuse me sir, you can suck my mile long dick! Get the fuck out of my face.” Tyrone growled at the man. “Ignorant black people.” The man mumbled. “Ignorant? Bitch, I’ll show you ignorant! I’m not a slave now, I’ll beat your ass!”

“Man, let’s go before we get put out of the mall.” Jay said. We all left out of Foot Locker and went to another store. “What’s up with you and Nasir?” Tyrone asked me. “I mean, I want to be with her, but she just want to be friends.”

“She wants you.”

“Don’t be so sure.” Terrence said. “Nigga shut the fuck up! You haven’t had a woman in fifty years.”

“And who are you to give relationship advice? You barely have an engagement.”

“Low blow man. You know I’m trying to work things out with Lizbeth!”

“Not if you grabbing her like a fucking ragdoll!”

“Fuck you bitch. I don’t need to hear this from you.” Tyrone turned back towards me, “Like I said, she wants you.”

“She has a funny way of showing it.” We walked passed a jewelry kiosk and a certain necklace caught my attention. It was a silver necklace with a purple diamond-crusted heart at the end. It was beautiful. “Don’t start buying that shit so soon, it’ll blow up in your face.” Tyrone said. “I just want Nasir to know that I want to be with her.”

“Be careful with her, she’s a cheater.” I chuckled, “You mean a keeper?”

“Yeah uh huh sure, that’s what I meant.” Jay started to laugh, “That’s down bad Tyrone. Let the past be the past.”

“What happened?”

“Nothing man, don’t even worry about it. I’m sure she’ll be faithful to you.”
