After a fun afternoon at Chloe's house, we headed home. Mel and I chatted and giggled the whole way home until a police car raced past us. Don't turn left. God, please don't turn left. It turned left. I kicked Misty into a gallop and got home to a few ambulances, a ton of police cars, and a news crew. I spotted Officer Tom and ran over to him. "What hapoened? Where's my mom? Please can I go inside?" The questions flooded out of my mouth as fast as the tears from my eyes.

Officer tom looked at me with a grim face. "Take my hand."

Three words and none of them was an answer. I looked at him for a second and then dashed past him, ducking under the police tape and dodging all the people.

I sprinted up the steps and into the kitchen. My mouth screamed to my mom to please wake up as I slid onto my knees in the pool of blood she was in. The paramedics where bringing in the stretcher now. I saw the very faint rise and fall of her chest. "Please..." I whispered and they put her onto the stretcher. "Please let me come with her. Me and Melanie. Please. We are her daughters." I looked up at a paramedic and he nodded. I yelled to Mel to come with me and with that we were loaded into the ambulance. Officer Tom followed behind in a police cruiser. The lights and sirens going, we passed a lot of cars. We were going at least 85 on a 45 mile an hour zone. We turned into the emergency parking lot and I jumped out with Melanie. My mother opened her eyes and looked at me.

Raising a shakey hand, she put it on my cheek. I held it there as I cried. "It'll be okay baby. Its okay. I'll do my best to make it." she whispered pulling her face into a small smile. The light in her eyes was burning brighter than ever.

I was running along side the gurny and then they stopped me. "We are going to do everything in our power to make sure your mom lives okay? she has to go into surgery now though so your gonna have to wait here or in the waiting room." The nurse lokked into my crying eyes and bent down so she was crouched to my level. "It'll be okay hun. I promise."

She hugged me and I was afraid to let go. "Do you want me to wait with you sweety?" she asked. I nodded.

"Okay. let's get you something to eat and something to drink. Is that your sister?" she pointed to Mel. I nodded again.

"Alright. Let's get you both something." she smiled at me and took our hands.

I let the tears rolling down my face continue in silence. What if my mom didn't make it?

Okay. I almost cried. its so sad! I will update as soon as I can. :)
