Lisa's POV

Four month and three weeks. I waited so long for this specific moment. But now that it came it was nothing like I expected it to be. Actually, I hugged my little sister that I missed so much. But it didn't feel like that. Not at all.

She was so cold and almost lifeless. She didn't hug me back. At first I thought it was because she still was tight to that chair so I used my knife to free her.

"You're save now. Listen. Everything is going to be fine!" I told my little sister but I had no idea if she could hear me.

When I cut the rope, she didn't even seem to notice because she still sat there without moving. Then again, I put my arms around her tiny body. It was like I felt every bone and that's why the fear she could break in half grew in me. I wanted to put my hands on her cheeks but there was this huge cut I didn't dare to touch.

Then everything went fast. Police officers came downstairs and they were really confused to see Lauren and me because Chris really told them I broke in. Actually, I did but suddenly it wasn't important anymore. Next my siblings came and each of them were hugging Lauren. Police Officers were also questioning her but Lauren was the same stone she was before.

"Okay. Stop!" I then shouted. "Don't you see that she is in shock?" I asked. Finally, they backed of a little. They must have called an ambulance because shortly after that paramedics arrived and they laid my sister on a stretcher. I was glad I was allowed to sit next to her in the ambulance and so I could hold her hand.

"Hey Lauren. Stay strong. I love you." I said but at the same time tears were streaming down my cheeks. I couldn't believe how broken my little sister seemed to be.

"Maybe she got drugged or something" I said to the paramedics but I was sure they knew much better about her health.

Unfortunately, I couldn't be by her side during the check – up. Instead we took a seat in the waiting room. Waiting not only for our sister but also for our parents that Alex called immediately as the ambulance drove by.

"What do you think happened to her?" Christina asked quietly. I just shrugged. I didn't want to talk because I knew after only one word I would burst into tears.

Then finally Mom and Dad entered and we hugged them and told them what just happened. They looked so relieved when they heard that we found her. Then we waited all together.

When the doctor entered the room and called our name we all jumped up and looked at him eagerly.

"I'm sorry but Lauren is still in the same condition she was in before. She wouldn't talk to us or move or eat. We believe that she is under shock. She has a lot of bruises and marks that we cleaned up. Her cut on the cheek got infected really bad but it will heal soon. You can go to her and maybe you can bring her to talk or to eat. That would be important since she is very much underweight and dehydrated. With an IV we are giving her liquids. But, and that is important, don't force information out of her. She probably was forced to do a lot of things so now she has to get what she wants. Okay."

We all nodded and went to her room but the doctor held my parents back. He probably wanted to tell them some other medical things. We all rushed into Lauren's room where they must have sat her down on a bed. They put a blanket over her that was as white as Lauren's face.

"Hey little girl. We missed you" Alex said. He sat on one site of her bed while I was sitting on the other one. The other ones were standing next to us.

We talked to our little sister for a little but Lauren wouldn't respond. Then the police came to ask her and us some questions. They didn't seem to find much clues at the place where Lauren was found.

Lauren obviously didn't answer any of those questions and I could only tell them how I found her. Then they left again. Our parents did not enter Lauren's room once which confused me. They wanted to go home. They didn't even want to see Lauren after such a long time. I couldn't understand them.

I tried to be nice to my little sister to not scare Lauren but my brain was full of anger. It was almost on fire and that fire wanted to destroy that person for doing something like that to my mini me. It wanted to kill them cruelly so that this person has to suffer from the pain. But then my brain was suddenly fuller of anger. It was angry at my parents for rejecting Lauren, for ignoring her for not helping her. For leaving her when she probably needed them the most.

"Don't worry Lauren. I will find that person and I will take care of him. Or her or it!" I promised my sister that still looked into nothing. Never have I ever seen her beautiful brown eyes so empty. I wanted them to fill back up with life. I wanted them to shine again.

"You will shine again Lauren. I promise!"
