Ok sorry guys this chapter posted before chapter 7 for some reason sorry for the confusion but just past this chapter and come back to it till I fix it!!!

Tobias's POV

I knocked but I heard no answer, I resorted to a load banging on the door causing my fist to collide with the hard wood.

Still no answer.

I knew he wouldn't it made sense just like how a burglar wouldn't break in to have tea with you a kidnapper wouldn't answer the door to the ones searching for them.

Marcus still didn't answer I still pounded on the door but this time with more anger and rage. All I knew was if I made it in, which I would I was going to smash his face in so hard, he wouldn't be able to recall his own name.

My warning of the knock clearly wasn't working, I started to slam my body into the door over and over till I could here the hinges cracking and slow loosening. Christina was watching with a shocked face of how strong I really was that I could break off a door.

"Tobias we can just break a window or-" Her voice was cut off by the sight of the door breaking to the ground with my last swing at the door.

There was a little shock seeing the door down but they don't know what I can do when they take something I love, more like the one thing I love Tris.

I tried to push her back in my head so tears would do the same, staying away from my eyes, but every time I heard her name I felt like I was missing a half of me something that I couldn't live without and that was her. She was the love of my life and I will do anything to get her back in my arms and to see her face which was beautiful to me.

Why am I using the word was? I thought-I mean I know she's still alive. Right?

Marcus ran down from the upstairs of my old home. "Hello sir, can I help you." Clearly he was still playing dumb as if he had been taken back by the memory serum.

"You know why I'm hear Marcus." He acts taken back by my comment, I still didn't get why he was trying to pull. I know he did it....I know he's guilty.

Marcus stands in the door way almost stoping me from coming in. "I'm sorry sir but right now I can't have you come into my house." That pushed me over the edge.

"Ya we'll try to stop me!" I shout pushing though him bumping into his shoulder hard to show how mad I really was. I began to quietly walk through him and before I made it past free I felt his bony hard cold fingers grip onto my shoulder.

"I told you Tobias I'm not taking any visitors." He states through his gritted teeth. As he pulls on my shoulder towards the door of the house.

"I'm sorry if you didn't hear me either, Father but I'm not taking a no for an answer." I pick his fingers one by one off my shoulder and I'm sure if I could see my shoulder it would be red from his tight grasp. "Now." I continue walking through the house. "Where is she?" I say in a fake kindness or sarcasm. "Because really your the only enemy that is still alive that would dare touch my Tris."

"Me Tobias I wouldn't dear touch her." He says a small evil smile spreads across his rough I shaved face.

"Ok, well if that's that I should be going." Clearly I was Lying but Christina thought I was serious as a questionable face was plastered on.

I turn from his disheveled house slowly exiting, as I was halfway through the door way and Marcus was holding the edge of the door to close it,

I spit out a few words. "Oh one more thing I need to give you." I turn around completely spinning a total of 180 degrees and plant my hardened fist into his upset face right on the nose. My hand glows red and I can feel my heart beat pumping through my blood but I didn't feel the pain that I should of all I could think was get through and find Tris.

Marcus was knocked to the floor on impact and holding his nose which was clearly bleeding. He was still in shock on the ground and I slowly stepped over his cringing body. I beckoned Christina and she followed mimicking my moves as she stepped over Marcus.

"Ok we need to check everywhere." I say in a stern business voice to Christina. "We don't have much time and we need to look all around I can feel that she's here somewhere."

Christina nods and continues checking around the couch and looking for any clues. "We should start upstairs." I calling the shots. "Ok." she agrees continuing up the narrow steps disappear leaving me down by Marcus.

I put my hand on the cold railing and make my way up each carpeted step slowly making the floor boards beneath it creak with every step.

Memory's flashed in. Me as a kid, the choosing ceremony, coming up these steps in tears from my father it's almost to real like I can feel the strikes of his belt on my bleeding arms again, like I can feel the throbbing pain up my limbs.

Christina looked back at me as I made it up the steps and then turned left into what was my parents room closing the door silently behind her. Instead of following Christina I went right into my past bedroom. I ran my fingers across the empty wooden shelves drifting them slightly above the wood. I move to my drawers opening each one looking for anything and everything that could lead me to the truth.

My bed wasn't made. The sheets still ruffled up like on the day I choose dauntless. I inferred that they didn't touch it, they never entered the room, I assumed it was because my dad didn't care he kept his feelings under lock and key only freeing the anger out which was what I had seen.

I moved my blankets up resetting the past putting the room into order before I remembered there's no time to be sedimental and that my family my only family, Tris is missing.

I turn closing the door in the small square of the room and see that Christina had come out of my parents. "Anything?" I whisper knowing the longing killing answer. She shook her had shame fully towards the ground, I knew that she was gonna say no.

"Ok so we need to start from the bottom up." Bottom up think from the beginning but what's more lower that the basement.

"You thinking what I'm think?" Christina says a happy smile pushing on her down face. "The basement." We state in unison. " slide through the hall making quick steps down as I shift through the turns down the stairs. But the most shocking thing is before me, the had left laying across the ground my once father is now gone.

Christina clearly saw the same thing her hands covered her mouth and shock spread along her face. "Where d-did he go." Christina sputtered as she tried to get the words out.

I see something now that I haven't seen before, I'm dealing not only with someone who has abused me since I was a kid and kidnapped my girlfriend if that isn't enough but someone I could feel would commit murder to get what he wanted.

"Christina, you should go." She stares at me with blank eyes as I'm still looking forward. "I'm not weak Tobias and you ne-" I cut her off. "No Christina you need to go, I won't let you be hurt too."

"But I mean I can-."

"NO Christina." My voice more stern now. "I said you NEED to leave."

She got what I was saying. This wasn't her battle to be taking on and the last thing I needed was for my girlfriends best friend to get hurt in the making.

"I promise I will contact you as soon as I can but this is something I need to do on my own." I say contouring toward the basement door.

She leaves without another word silently closing the front door behind her as I push the door all the way open and see the most frightening sight I could.
