Someone Might Get Hurt
Sam...
Sitting at the kitchen table, Paul watched me intently, waiting for me to give him orders; being a great member and friend, I always know that I can count on him for whenever I needed something carried out.
My mind changed as Emily walked through the door with groceries in her arms. I smiled a little; but she didn't show any type of emotion towards anyone like she would normally, so there was something up.
"What's up babe?" I asked as I turned from the table and looked up to her. She was silently putting things away and whatever it was that was eating at her, she was taking it hard and to heart.
"I met your sister today," she explained as she took each item out of the bags one by one and didn't make eye contact with anyone. "what everyone told me about her, about how she was the biggest sweetheart that anyone can ever meet; I met the complete opposite."
I furrowed my eyebrows at the love of my life. What happened to her not letting anyone get to her? That's not the Emily I know.
"What did she say to you?" I asked as turned her slightly in my direction, I laid my hands on her arms.
"What's the matter with you two? Why do you two hate each other so much?" she whispered. Her eyes turned up and met mine.
"It's a long story," I answered as I tried to get her mind off of my sister; because she would never have to worry about Kaya, she wasn't staying in La Push as I know it. "you don't need to worry about her okay; she's not staying long anyways."
"That's not the point Sam and you know it, one day she'll be my sister-in-law, and I don't want her hating me because she hates you." She retorted coldly as she pushed my hands away from her. And having her push me away like that; was telling me that she was being dead serious. "All I'm saying is; that you need to fix what's been broken between you two."
"Exactly what did she say to you that got you so heated?" I asked as I pulled her closer and attempted to hold her once again.
"She's embarrassed to call you her brother, and she wants nothing to do with anyone who wants anything to do with you; Sam what did you 'do' to your sister?" she pushed.
"That doesn't matter," I turned my head in Paul's direction and looked more pissed than I would when Seth would decide to go against my orders and pour tabasco sauce in Jacob's shampoo bottle. "We're gonna get to the bottom of this; Paul get everyone else and head over to my dad's."
"Got it Sam." He smirked and then arose from the table, leaving the house with the order that needed to be carried out, so that later led to a rip in the air, and a howl coming from the trees.
"Now don't worry about it Ems, Kaya was that way since we were growing up, the sweet girl role was always a façsade," I explained. I pulled her closer and kissed her lightly on her nose, and then the rest of her face where the scars lay. The same scars that I placed upon her myself. "I'm gonna take care of it, I promise."
I walked into the forest and took my time phasing; because I knew that Kaya wasn't going to do something stupid or something she might regret. So I stripped and tied my shorts around my ankle as a repeated procedure, then I just jumped into my wolf form.
The distance from here to there wasn't long at all, but the distance was long enough to where I had to run in wolf form to get there. By the time I was there, I changed and exited out of the forest and was faced with what I would already know my wolf pack, and Kaya's pack.
