As I Fall To Pieces
I danced across the rocks down on the beach, continuously looking back to see if Ollie and Kale were behind me. And when I took the glance, Kale raised me up by the knees, and slammed me right into the sand. And I realized that I hadn't been two feet off the ground.
I couldn't help but laugh uncontrollably.
When I began to gather myself, I grabbed the person closest to me, who so happened to be Ollie, and I wrapped my arms and legs around him, as he then lifted me off the wet sandy mess.
"So tell me again why you're in such a slap happy mood?" Steven looked up from his sun bathing on the sand, laying next to Brandon and Willy.
I looked at them one by one, and tried to think over why it was that I was so happy about.
Maybe it's because for the past couple of weeks, we hadn't heard from Sam or his pack. Or that I haven't seen Paul and his awkward pupoy love. And although I should be jumping up and down with excitement, I couldn't help but feel bummed of his absentness.
But I still had my boys, and that's more than enough.
"I don't know," I shrugged. I just couldn't explain it. It was awesome to not have my brother breathing down my neck, always trying to have a conflict and start drama all the time. "I just feel peaceful to just be surrounded by my boys. And not my brother and his ignorant pack members."
"Well of course, that's just because we're the most awesome to be around." Ray had claimed happily as came from behind me, walking out of the water.
"That's true." I nodded my head in agreement, even though these boys are a bunch of lamers. But I love them to death.
"We're not just awesome, we're good looking too!" Chris howled as he jumped off of one of the boulders connected to the cliff above us all. He scared the crap out of me.
But all I could do was slap my forehead to the recognition of the boys being total meat bags also. "Oh great, you dorks are total meat wads too! I should've known!"
Exclaiming as I stood to my feet, I acted as if I were faint, and fell dramatically into the arms of Mikey.
"And you're a drama queen." He smiled down at me, the loving one that he always has sprawled across his face.
"Am not!" I shouted as I jumped up faster than he could drop me. I slapped his chest and then turned to run away.
And when I turned, all I saw was a red head. Pale skinned, red eyed, red curly haired woman. She was immortal, yet she smelled so sweet, and it burned my nose terribly. It almost stunk like a fire of burning flesh.
Kay... Kaya...
Kaya.... Are you alright?
"Kaya, are you okay?" Paul asked. He looked concerned as he was now standing beside me. I blinked my way out of where I was standing, realizing that the red head had not been where I was staring, she was gone. But I couldn't keep Paul waiting for an answer either.
"I- -um. I saw a , um, nevermind. I thought I saw someone, I guess I was just imagining things." I shook my head. Then I stared up at Paul who'd been standing closer to me, looking at me as if I had gone crazy in the last five minutes.
"Oh, well, we were going to head over to that small diner down the road, and get some pizza." He wrapped his arm around my shoulders, and walked me away from the spot I had been stuck in. Paul had glanced at me through the side view of his eyes, and I could tell he was building up questions in his mind on what I had seen, but I knew those questions wouldn't have came out until later, when we were alone.
