Every Day Is A New Day

In The Woods

School was cancelled, as I thought it would be. Me, Tess, Lia, Allen, Gabe and Dustin go hang out in the woods.

We have this spot that we cleaned. There's no weeds, bushes, trash, and rocks. We set up some chairs and a basketball hoop. Our spot is also next to a mountain, the mountain is smooth were we chose to hang out at. We write on it with chalk. Every person that we let here has to write something on the wall.

Dustin writes Markiplier then draws Tiny Box Tim with a mustache and Tess gets mad. We laugh. "Don't worry, she gets mad if you don't write something about the walking dead or Legend." I say.

"YYYAAAYYY, CARNID, HAHAHAHAHAHAH DEATH. HAHAHAHA HAHAHAHA, JUNE AND DAY YYYYAAAAYYYY!" Tess yells. She always gets so excited about these things. I do to, just not as much as her, no one does.

"It's nice not to stress about everything." I say. "Yeah, it's nice to take a day off from school, and shit." Dustin says.

"BAD WORD!" Tess yells. I forgot to tell him not to curse around her. Oh well, can't do anything about it now.

I smile and Dustin gives me a look full of hate and anger. He's not really mad, you could tell. It starts to rain, but we have a cave that we hide in when it does.

We have flashlights, candles, lighters, matches, blankets, more chairs, batteries, and some water and food, just in case. We also have some bored games to play when we get bored.

"Wow, do you guys live here or something. Gosh, this is amazing." Dustin says. "We even have curtains and clothes in case." Allen says. "You need to bring something, clothes don't count, you still need to bring clothes though." Tess says.

"Are you okay Lia? You haven't been talking as much as you usually do." I say. "Y-yeah, I-I'm fine."

"No your not." Gabe says.

"I HAVEN'T BEEN SLEEPING OKAY I'M SO FUCKING TIRED." Lia yells. It goes silent for a moment. I was about to break the silence but Allen beat me. "You need sleep. We'll put up a curtain and lay out some blankets for you to sleep on." He says. "Okay." Lia says. She sounds tired.

It takes us like 20 minutes to set everything up. Probably because we kept hitting each other with the pillows and blankets.

Lia falls asleep not even 5 minutes after she lays down. We play pokèmon Monopoly. We don't even finish the game. We got distracted by everything else. Me and Tess were on our phones. Dustin was drawing. Gabe and Allen were talking.

I was watching YouTube and Tess was writing a book. Dustin was drawing Markiplier fan art, and Allen and Gabe were talking about how they would survive in the zombie/Walker apocalypse or Zombocalypse as Jacksepticeye likes to call it.

"Give me ideas for a story." Tess commands. Everyone starts throwing random ideas out. I'm surprised that Lia is still asleep.

The rain pours down harder. Tess is scared of thunderstorms. Mainly because she almost died in one as a little kid. We all call our parents and tell them we'll be home later or tomorrow because of the rain. They all says it fine because school was cancelled again.

It starts to get darker out side, so we light a few candles and get out our flash lights and camping light.

We all get a small bag of chips and a water bottle.

Lia has most of the blankets, so we sit here around the candles with me and Tess sharing a blanket sitting on our jackets and Allen and Gabe sharing a blanket sitting on a blanket. The blanket is big enough to go behind them were Dustin can sit on it and draw.

After a while we all get tired and we set up a place to sleep. In total, we have about 20 emoji pillows. So we have enough pillows. We don't have that many blankets. We basically go to sleep cold.

I'm the second to last one to fall asleep. Me and Dustin talk for a while after everybody else is asleep. I fall asleep before him.
