A few days later Raven finally told her where to meet her. She had missed her brother and sister terribly and couldn't wait to see them both. She couldn't shake the feeling that something was going to happen, she just wasn't sure if it would be good or bad yet.
Aurora got out of her car, grabbing her suitcase before walking up the steps of the mansion and knocking on the door. She took a deep breath, preparing herself for facing her brother and sister again after so long. She loved her siblings but their personalities clashed and they were better off separately.
When the door opened, she was faced with a rather handsome young man who wore glasses, "Who are you?"
Aurora smiled gently, "I'm Aurora Xavier. Raven called and asked me to come visit her. I don't know if she told anyone though?" She didn't know if anyone else knew about her visiting and what Raven had told them about her. She wanted to surprise Charles and her little sister. She truly had missed them.
The stranger grinned, "She did tell me. I'm Hank McCoy. I'm the only one that Raven told. It's nice to finally meet you. Why don't you come inside?" Hank seemed like a nice guy and Aurora knew that she and Hank would get along just fine and become good friends. She followed Hank inside while carrying her suitcase.
Raven came running down the stairs, squealing in happiness, "Aurora!" Raven ran towards the brunette, hugging her tightly. Aurora returned the hug, having missed her sister just as much. The sisters had always been close. As much as Aurora loved her brother, having a female around was always easier.
"Aurora, I missed you so much. Thank you so much for coming. Charles has been an ass over the past couple of days and some needs to knock some sense into him," Raven spoke quickly. She was ecstatic to see her big sister once again.
Aurora giggled at her enthusiasm, "I missed you too. Where is Charles? Is there anyone else here?" Raven hadn't given her any details about the other mutants.
Raven took her hand, leading her towards the kitchen, "Everyone is sat in the kitchen. Charles is in his office, we can go and see him afterwards but I want to introduce you to the others first. I know he missed you too." She looked back to see Hank walking up the stairs with her suitcase, probably to her bedroom.
"Alright. I missed him too."
The two females walked into the kitchen, hand in hand. "Hey guys. I want you to meet my sister," Raven grinned. Everyone turned towards the door, looking at the two sisters.
"Hi guys," Aurora spoke up.
"Damn, she's cute," a blonde exclaimed. His eyes widen in shock, smacking a hand over his mouth when he realised what he had said. Despite being embarrassed, he looked up at the brunette. When their eyes met, they both froze. They both knew in that moment that they were soulmates and the were both terrified. She had gotten lost in his ocean blue eyes, just as he had gotten lost in her beautiful brown ones.
Raven squealed next to Aurora, breaking them both out of their trance, "So cute. I told you so. I told you, you would find your soulmate soon but did you listen, no."
Aurora turned to face her sister, "As much as I love your enthusiasm, introductions would be nice. FYI, you tell Charles, I'm going to mute you myself."
Raven nodded rapidly, "Don't worry I won't, you terrify me sometimes." She then turned to face the table, "the blonde one is Alex. The redhead is Sean. The older gentleman is-"
"Erik," Aurora finished for her.
Erik smiled, "It's good to see you again, Aura."
Raven looked at the pair confused, "You two know each other?"
Aurora smiled at her sister, "Erik and I meet a few years ago. He saved my life and I saved his. That's how we know about each other's mutation. Fair to say though, none of that would have happened if you knew how to stay quiet and not intervene in a situation that had nothing to do with you."
Erik grinned, "You know that's not me. Besides, I made a good friend. It definitely is good to see you again."
"True. It's good to see you too."
"As much as I would love to see you both catch up, Aurora has a brother to put in place," Raven spoke. Aurora could feel the jealousy radiating from her sister and couldn't help but grin at her sister.
"Alright, let's go. It was nice meeting you guys." The boys all nodded in reply, watching the sisters leave. Aurora stole a glance at Alex, only to see that he was watching her too. The pair blushed before Aurora turned to follow her sister into her brothers office.
"There's someone you need to meet," Raven says as she walks into his office. Charles was buried in paperwork and hadn't noticed that both his sisters had walked into the room.
"Wha-" He didn't finish his sentence as he had noticed that Aurora had walked into the room. He got up, grinning and walked over to his younger sister, pulling her into a hug.
Aurora chuckled softly, "I missed you too, brother."
Charles pulled away from the hug, "What are you doing here?" They both sat down on the couch.
"Raven called. Something about you being an overbearing idiot," Aurora smirked.
He sighed, "I wasn't being overbearing. I was trying to help. These kids don't know the first thing about their mutations and don't know how to control it. They are all in over their heads."
"That might be true but you also have to understand that they are all doing their best. Everyone learns differently and not everyone had the chance to learn about their mutation like you, Raven and I did. You have to be patient with them and realise that they can do it. And take it easy on Raven. She might not say it but she's always wanted different things from us so don't be so hard on her."
Charles smiled softly at his younger sister, "I don't know what I would do without you. Don't worry, you're right. Raven deserves me being patient with her. I hope you'll stick around to help me out?"
"Don't worry, big brother. You're not getting rid of me anytime soon."
