Chapter 2

Before I start this chapter I want to say I'm sorry about spelling M'Gann's name wrong. Huge brain Fart and it will be fixed once the book is finished. Don't worry from now on I'll spell it right. If there is any other names I misspelled please tell me so I can fix it!!!! On to the story!

Wally's POV

"So what'd they say? Are you clear to take him with us?" I asked

"Yes, Garfield will meet us at his house and we will help him pack up. He live at mount Justice." M'Gann said with a sad and tired voice.

Zatanna leads her to a taxi that'll take M'Gann, Conner, Zatanna, Artemis and I to the animal sanctuary, while the rest of the team follow in the bioship (which is in camo mode. We still don't know where Queen Bee is.)

"Hey Conner, how is this even happening. I mean isn't it kinda impossible that there is records of Marie having a daughter? I mean how is she clear to take him with us?" I ask whispering.

"The Justice League pulled a few strings and made fake documents and place them in the right spots, Megan Logan is now legally Garfields brother." He said.

I huffed, just surprised at how the JL helped out. Don't get me wrong they aren't heartless, it's just you'd think they'd have more Important things to deal with.

Within twenty minutes we reached the sanctuary. A woman in business clothes awaits us outside the main house. The house looked empty and cold, it was as if it was grieving too.

"Hello, you must be Megan Logan, and who are they." The woman asks shaking M'Ganns hand while looking at the rest of us.

"We're family friends. We're here just to help with the packing, and the move."

"Very well. Garfield is in his room. Please take your time. I'll be out here if you need anything."

We thank her and head inside. Upon entering Conner tenses up suddenly and looks outside. He seems to shake it off and follows us to Garfield's room.

"H-hello? Garfield? It's me M-" M'Gann starts before being cut off by Garfield with a big hug. They both sink to the floor after reuniting in tears.

Once they both get back up, Garfield notices M'Ganns human form and frowns in confusion. We all laugh a little and watch as she switches to her Martian form. It was nice to laugh and lighten the mood a little.

I notice Conner tense up again. What is with him?

"Hey supey! Are you ok? You look like you just saw a ghost..... Did you just see a ghost of- " I say.

"No! Wally speed around and pack as much as you can. I have a hunch."

"What? You heard something? It's just us in hear."

"I know that. Super hearing remember? Infrared... Just go Wally!"

I rush around the room packing all his clothes and whatever else looks like worth taking. He doesn't own much which means it'll only take a second or two.

I rush behind the house to the bioship and put the bags in before running back into the house.

"Wally why did you-" Artemis says before Conner cut her off.

"Shhh....." He says. We are all quiet and stare wondering what he hears.

"I hear breathing, but more than that lady, the two officers outside and the rest of the team. Twelve more people. It's supposed to be just us."

We all seem to understand. I speed into my Kidflash uniform, and hear Zatanna cast a spell changing the team into their uniforms. Garfield looks more excited than scared.

"I can hear the woman speaking, she is on the phone...Queen Bee is on the other end!"

"What are they saying?" I ask

"Bee is saying something... She says the light wants us alive... This whole thing is a trap, they are waiting for us to walk out the front door."

"So we'll go out the back! M'Gann set up the mind link thing." Zatanna says.

"Link established. Aqualad, Rockett, Robin, Aquagirl we got a problem, Superboy detected twelve people plus the social service woman are in league with the light. This whole thing is a trap." M'Gann thinks.

"Woah this is sooo cool! Is this how you guys talk all the time?" Garfield says.

"We don't see twelve more people, but just as a precaution... Kid run Garfield to the ship." Kaldur'am says without acknowledging the boy.

I follow orders and run Garfield to the bioship where Robin and Tula greet him. He seems to have forgotten all of the horrible things that has happened to him in sheer aw of the space ship.

"They know we didn't take the bait, and the police officers and taxi driver are in on it. " Conner yells through the link.

"I found your twelve other people, Biyalian soldiers coming out of the sand out there!" Zatanna says.

"Ill cover you guys, get to the ship." Rocket says as she flies out of the space craft.

"We can take them-" Artemis says drawing her bow preparing to run into a fight.

"Don't be stupid, we need to get Garfield out of here, and I have a feeling that they are planning on taking some prisoners." Kaldur orders.

"Well then let's not give them the satisfaction." I say. We all quickly run to the bioship and take off as the soldiers begin firing in our direction. Rockett flies through last minute before we make a break for happy harbor.

Garfield was bouncing with excitement in his seat, and Tula was talking with Kaldur. I had a feeling both would join the team in some way. One thing is for sure though, this attack was no coincidence.
