"Alexandria hurry up" I hissed as I heard her shuffling papers. She put me on lookout for Bobby Jo Jr who was passed out at the front desk. For such a good police force Bobby was the odd one out. No one was in the building but him.

"I got it! Okay let's go" she whispered coming out of the room, following her out of the back entry way she drug me all across town. Seeing her house we rushed to her room and laid on her bed.

Looking over the file I frowned, there wasn't even a file to read. Just a paragraph long report. Suddenly my anger got the best of me. They never even did any investigating. The thought about my mother not even being worth even a minute of their time upset me. She meant nothing to them.

Alexandria attempted to pat my back but I sent her an irritated look. Standing up I shoved the paper back into the folder, storming out into the living room Alexandria chased after me but before she could stop me I threw the case file down onto the coffee table. Her dad looked up, Alexandria went to grab the folder but her dad snatched it up.

"What kind of bullshit is this? Did my moms life mean nothing to you?" I asked, Alexandria grabbed my arm and attempted to pull me away, but I stayed right where I was.

"You just stole a file from the police, do you realize how much trouble you can get into?" Her dad said, rising to his feet.

"That's not a file, that's a piece of paper. A pathetic excuse for a report." I yelled, suddenly my body was lifted into the air, dangling.

"You better watch your tone boy, before you find yourself in the back of a cop car." Once my two feet were on the ground he turned to Alexandria and shoved the case file into his bag. "Don't you ever pull something like this again or I will turn you in." With that he went to his bedroom and slammed the door, Alexandria sent me a glare.

"Thanks a lot, Joseph. I really appreciate you doing that." With that she stormed outside, slammed the door to where the house shook.

Waiting a few minuets I walked outside and climbed up to get to the roof, Alexandria had her eyes covered. Sneaking up to her I put my hand on her arm, getting my arm grabbed she got on top of me and quickly stopped her hand from flying down towards me. Looking her in the eyes she let go of my arm and cleared her throat.

"So, are you going to get off me? Or are you going to fight me? I'm not into brunettes so I'd rather you fight me." Seeing her whole face turn red she quickly got off me, but I got kneed in the process.

"You're such an asshole, you know that? The sooner we figure this out the sooner I don't have to see you anymore."

"Yeah, well, I never asked you to help me out, you're the one who was like 'ooh let me help!' And then you practically forced me to let you be with me." I stated before sitting up and tying my untied shoe.

"Excuse you, without me you'd probably be in jail." She sat up and punched me in the arm.

"If it'd get me away from you then I'd be glad to be there."

"You need me." She said, her voice sounded strained and I noticed how her hands were clenched.

"I don't, don't you get that? I don't need you, I don't need anyone's help. You're so stupid, take a hint." Seeing a hand fly at me I grabbed it, she let out a small groan, letting her go I could see tears form in her eyes, I almost felt bad.

"Everyone calls me stupid, you have no idea who I am. I have two words for you, the first one starts with F and the last one starts with U." Letting go of her hand she flicked me off.

"Once again I don't like brunettes." Smiling at the small smile she gave me after I said that I got up. "You don't have to do this, I'm giving you an out. Your one and only out." Looking at the stars I laid back, closing my eyes I could feel myself relax.

"Ill give you my answer tomorrow."

Walking down the street I went into the park, I had lots of memories here. All of them but one was with my mom. Sitting on the swings I heard the crickets chirp, it was night and I had spent the whole day walking around. Closing my eyes I felt the pain come back, it always comes back when I'm at this park.

"You can be the biggest failure in the world but I will always be proud of you, you're my son. I'm going to be around for your wedding and your first baby. Don't worry, you'll find another girl. And you'll get those grades up." Opening my eyes I pushed back the words that my mother told me after my first heartbreak. I came here to clear my head and she wouldn't leave me until I was done sulking.

Getting snapped out of my thoughts suddenly  I saw Alexandria walk up to me, out of breath. She sat down on the swing beside me, then started swinging. Swinging with her I jumped off, landing she did the same but stumbled, grabbing her arm she didn't fall. She straighten up quickly, turned to look me straight in the eyes.

Letting go of her she pulled me into a hug, pulling her off of me she smiled.

           "I'm in."
