Being a good and loyal friend, Rayne called her best friend immediately after she gathered herself. That man was really something else and boy did he know how to kiss. She was still reeling from Avi's passionate display when she sat down to call Mel. Her knees felt weak. She had to sit down or run the risk of falling over. She knew Mel would want details that she would never share, but she called her anyway. If nothing else, just to sigh and laugh with someone she loved.
"Morning, Love. How are you?" She asked when her friend answered her call.
"I'm good. How are you doing Ray? Well, I hope." Her friend didn't catch the extra excitement in Rayne's voice right away. They talked about the mundane things that they usually talked about for some time before her friend finally caught the smile in her voice. It finally dawned on Mel, Rayne had a date that morning with that beautiful bass Avi from their favorite band.
"Wait. Wait. WAIT! What happened?" she asked excitedly.
"I assure you that I do not know what you are talking about." Rayne laughed at herself effortlessly. She was beyond happy; ecstatic. She got to see Avi again and spend time with him. Even just a little bit of his time and undivided attention meant the world to her; to be able to give him hers meant even more. It was worth the wait, worth having to fly, worth it all. Rayne sat on her bed with her back against the headboard, there were a million things she needed to be doing, but all she could think about was the way Avi had kissed her before he left, so deeply, so passionately; like it was the end of the world and that was the last kiss they'd ever share. His hands were so soft and warm as they pulled and fussed on her back. He growled and moaned as she pressed her body to his. He elicited soft sounds from her with his passionate kiss and strong hands. She wondered if they would be noisy together. The thought of it completely derailed her and left her feeling dizzy and weak. She got lost in the notion of being with Avi, the only woman to ever touch him; of him being the only man who would know her so intimately ever again. Rayne closed her eyes and pictured the way he rolled his body on stage, how he moved his hips; she couldn't suppress the shiver that escaped her at the thought; that would be an interesting technique. Did Avi have a technique? He wasn't likely to have one, was he? He had said he had never been with anyone before. If he did have a technique, it would likely match the natural way he moved; she liked the way Avi moved. They'd figure out what worked best for them when they got around to it. There was no rush. She wanted to share her body with Avi, be intimate in every way, but it had to be right for them both; she would gladly wait for him. She was satisfied just to kiss him, hold him close and watch the wonder in his eyes as they explored and got to know each other. She loved the way Avi smelled; his soft, clean and slightly woodsy sent. He wore only a hint of cologne; she had to get extremely close to him to detect it. She really enjoyed being close to him; there was nothing that mattered more. She loved Avi's smile, the warmth and the comfort she found in it, the love that shone from Avi's eyes when he looked at her. Avi was a very special man in every way she could possibly perceive. He had a way of making her feel special and valued, wanted and needed, trusted and loved. He did so naturally. When he spoke to her, finally face to face that morning, Avi made her feel like she was the only person in the world; the only one that mattered to him. His texts and calls over the past couple of days, did the same thing; Avi kept them connected and she happily return the effort. She knew, beyond doubt, that she was extremely important to him, that Avi was equally vital to her. He listened attentively, well, except for that one time, leaned into the conversation, and was completely invested and engaged. Avi gave of himself as they talked comfortably about little personal things. Even though they didn't talk about important things, the conversation was by no means small talk. They had both put out feelers, testing the waters between them, deciding if it was safe to swim; they both dove in head first. So far, she had nothing but positive feelings about him, some really, really good feelings. Rayne sighed again as she giggled and smiled.
