Neither of them moved. Neither dared take a breath. They stood, silent in the room, the sunlight from the window filtering all around them with their shirts fallen to the floor behind them. Their hands remained on each other's bodies where they had left them. For long moments, neither was capable of stringing together a single thought, their minds were simply blank, wiped clean by the blast from their combined passion and the power of their shared emotions. They stood, motionless together, in the light of day, safe, warm, comfortable, blown away.

Rayne expected some sort of mad rush, their bodies crashing together in an insane display of wild passion and lust. She braced for it, preparing for the assault on her lips and back that never came. She felt Avi's passion wash over her in wave after powerful wave, beating down her defenses. She felt her own rise and swell within her, and knew that it was crashing over Avi with the same force that his was exerting against her. She felt other emotions swirl and swell within her too, emotions just as powerful, if not more than the ones she felt on their first evening spent together.

Not wanting to lose control, she did nothing to incite him or to set herself off. She just stood there, her hands on Avi's chest, her tan skin a pleasant contrast to his pale. In those first few moments, she felt vulnerable, a little bewildered and confused, mostly just helpless to resist the power of the urges flowing through her, and a lot awkward. But, her curiosity was piqued. Avi was standing before her with his large warm hands resting lightly on her hips, shirtless, and his breath heaving with hers, loudly filling the room.

She fought against the intimidating waves of lust menacing them. To her surprise, she conquered them. She found the patience she thought she'd lost just looking steadily into Avi's wide and loving green eyes. She took comfort in the strength she felt in his steady touch, the warmth and affection in his expression. She smiled softly at him as she watched his eyes. They would be just fine. She could see him calming, felt calm cover her and relaxed. She reminded herself of their pledge. Reminded herself that she was there because that was right where she belonged, right where she needed to be. She was right where she wanted to be.

She let her guard down and opened herself to Avi and the promise of excitement, joy, and pleasure hidden in his wild eyes. She let her love and appreciation flow from her to wash over him. She let her eyes lustily wander over his body, starting with his hair and face. He had let his dark brown almost black hair down. Since he had it tied up that morning the top and sides lay close to his head. It was long, curling to his shoulders. He had pulled it back behind his ear on one side and let the other just fall along the side of his face. He was beautiful to gaze upon. She tried to imagine what he would look like with his hair grown out longer and down his back. Her imagination did not let her down.

Avi still had a boyish innocence to his face, a slight plumpness to his cheeks that was so cute and endearing. Avi was taking better care of himself, eating better and working out, which meant his appearance would change, most likely within the next few months as some of Avi's innocence was washed away by experience and he shed more weight. His ears were cute. His left one was pierced and a black dragon fang placed in it. They were neither too big nor too small, they were just the right size for his head and just another one of her little quirks. She loved ears, teeth, eyes, mouths and healthy feet. They were just her thing.

She hoped Avi had healthy feet. They felt nice on her legs and feet when they tangled with hers. She didn't know why but, ears, eyes, mouths, and teeth, those were her facial things. She loved his. His eyebrows rested perfectly over his bright eyes. There was a small scar in Avi's right brow that was barely visible. He had long eyelashes to protect his beautiful green eyes. His eyes fascinated her, she could look into them for days. She wouldn't need food or water, just those wonderfully beautiful eyes of his. They weren't exactly green, weren't exactly blue or brown, they were all colors. There was a lot of brown speckled throughout them and some blue sprinkled in there too especially around the outside. But they were mostly green in the sunlight. Light freckles splashed across Avi's nose and cheeks under his eyes.
