Chapter 4

I lied down on my bed on my phone checking all my texts I had gotten through out the day. I saw Dawn's social media too. Ugh. She's just some wannabe. I remember how she changed after Brandon dumped her! It was classic...

Almost two years ago....
I held Brandon's hand as we walked down to my car in the school parking lot. Soon he would finally leave Dawn and make me and him official.
"Love you Jess." Brandon said softly as he kissed me. I held his hands. But sadly we had to go home.
"I'll talk to you later..." I said flirty as I got in my car. Brandon smiled and I went home. The next day rolled up quickly and I got to see Brandon! But we had to be careful before Dawn comes. We went into the janitor's closet together and kissed. But once we heard students moving, we got out and waited. Soon Dawn was coming so I had to leave. I didn't want Dawn knowing me. I walked off and I saw from a far way. Dawn of course jumped into Brandon's arms and kissed him. Ew. Soon she was going to get a surprise. He was going to dump her soon. They've been together for two years now, and Brandon and me for four months. Brandon obviously needs someone new! Dawn isn't it. I went to class and Brandon came in and sat next to me. We held hands under our table.
"Love you." He whispered in my ear. I blushed and squeezed his hand. Dawn was going to go!

The next day came and it was Friday. I was hoping for someone to throw a party today, since my parents are gone for a month.

I wanted to be noticed by Jaxon, so I decided to wear something more... fashionable. He seems to be all over Jessica and Megan. And Jessica has a boyfriend! She should be ashamed! Anyways back to my outfits, I have four options.
Option 1: Mini skirt with a crop top that says California. Except the crop too is a longer top, since school rules.
Option 2: Short shorts (pre ripped, but not too short, because dad rules) with a crop top that says North Carolina.
Option 3: Jeans with a long dark red top.
Option 4: Jeans with a crop top.
   I decide to go with option one. I put on some black stud earrings. I put on my makeup and go to school. As I walk by every boy stares at me and every girl gives me "the stink eye". I just ignore and walk right by. It felt kinda good to have all the attention on me in a good way for once. I get all my books out of my locker and walk to class. I sit down in my seat next to Megan. She scans me up and down. I just copy down the stuff on the board. Jaxon comes and sits in the seat next to me. He scans me up and down too! YAY! He keeps looking at me. It's like he can't take his eyes off me. My heart flutters, my palms got sweaty, and my cheeks went pink. The party yesterday that I hosted was a little difficult. But my mom is back and they never found out!
Last night...
What was I going to do?! My parents aren't home so this is the perfect time to throw a party... I called Emma, Crystal, and Hannah over to help me, and they agreed! I chose a short, tight, strapless black dress. Shortly Hannah, Crystal, and Emma got here and helped me with decorations, food, and drinks. They got dressed and it was time to finally call people over. Hannah called the people in her homeroom along with Emma and Crystal. And I called Jaxon and the people in my homeroom. Most people were coming over, and some other people said not today. Lemme just say, the party was lit! But something just had to go wrong! Jessica and Brandon crashed the party. Jessica got drunk soon and went to the closet with this guy. And Brandon didn't even say anything about it! Me and Jaxon talked and even got close! But nothing happened. But we held hands though! Progress! Later that night Megan came! I was too drunk to ask her what she was doing there so I just kept talking to Jaxon. It was obvious that Megan was jealous. An hour later Megan comes up to Jaxon and me and starts flirting with Jaxon! What's the matter with girl that girl?! When I'm right there!
"Go poop in your pants, Megan *hic*" I said stupidly. Who says that?! A kindergartener?!
"Dawn? I think you should go lay down... I'll bring a glass of water up to your bedroom. Just go up now." Jaxon told me.
"O-okay, hottie!" I said stupidly. (Again!) I wobbled up to my room and changed into my pajamas. Shortly Jaxon came up with a glass of water. He sat on my bed next to me.
"Well good night, Palmer." He whispered and was getting up to go but I wanted him to stay.
"Jaxon? Can you stay please?" I asked drinking some water.
"O-okay..." he stuttered. Him nervous?
He got under the covers a little bit and we talked. I curled up next to him and closed my eyes. He was so warm and I fell asleep quickly. I woke up to him leaving the room. He thought I was still asleep and looked at my face. He stroked my cheek and my stomach did a million jumps. He kissed my forehead and whispered sweetly, "I really like you, Palmer."
Oh. My. Goodness! Did he just say he liked me?!
Back to present day...
Yes, last night was weird. But he said he liked me! I still couldn't get that out of my head. But... at least it's the weekend! So no school! BUZZ BUZZ. I look at my phone.
TEXTS
Emma: What happened last night?!
Dawn: What do you mean?
Emma: You going to your room and making Jaxon stay with you!
Dawn: I didn't make him, I just asked him!
Emma: Okay, what happened?

I told Emma everything, then Crystal, then Hannah. Crystal was happy for me, Hannah didn't know what to think and Emma just laughed at me. But J-Jaxon likes me! The next day I get up, get dressed, brush my hair, brush my teeth and go to school. I walk passed Megan who is flirting with Jaxon. Ugh. She makes me sick! Anyways, Jaxon likes me not her. I open my locker to get all my books. Crystal and Hannah come up to me and they start singing, "Dawns got a boyfriend! Dawns got a boyfriend!" It makes me excited inside.
"Shhhhh, you don't want someone to hear!" I tell them. The bell rings and we all walk off in different directions. I walk into class and I don't see Jessica anywhere. Yes! I know that I like Jaxon but I don't love him. I loved Brandon, and maybe still do a little, but I also hate him! Then Jaxon walks in and sits next to me, YAY! Brandon and Jaxon are friends.
"Hey, having anymore parties?" Jaxon asks.
"Not planning on it," I answer. We both laugh. Brandon looks over at me,
"Hey, sorry for Jessica last night, when she gets drunk she can get crazy," Brandon tells me.
"Obviously, and did you see how many hickies Gave has? But it's fine..." I say smirking. Brandon looks confused. The teacher comes in and everybody stops talking.
"So as you all know we are having a test today. I hope you all studied because this test is forty percent of your grade," the teacher announces. Crap! I totally forgot to study, with the party last night! Mr. Stern passes out the tests. It's three pages long!
"You may begin," he says. I don't know half of the questions but I manage to guess my way through the test. The bell rings and we all walk up to give the test to Mr. Stern. I walk out of class with a sad face. Cade walks up to me and asks what's wrong.
   "Nothing, I just think that I failed that test," I say.
   "Oh, well between you and me, I probably failed it too," he tells me. We both laugh.
   "Thanks for making me feel better Cade," I say. "But I got to get going, I have to work on extra credit, since I probably failed!"
   "Oh, we'll see ya later!" Cade says and we both walk off. I walk out to the parking lot where I see Brandon and Jessica kissing right next to MY car! It's like they want me to smack them! I walk up and do some fake coughs. *cough* ahem *cough*
   "Well, well, well. Look who it is Little Miss Fawn who ruins everything," Jessica says and Brandon laughs but covers it up with a fake cough.
   "She doesn't mean that," Brandon says to me.
   "Yeah, I do," Jessica says. "Come on Brand-y we don't want to be late to the party," Jessica says and starts pulling him towards the car.
   "Bye Dawn!" He yells.
   "Bye..." I say back and get into my car. He wants to be so nice to me even though he knows he broke my heart.
