My birthday has been and gone. I got all sorts of gifts, a watch with a compass, a gyroscope, some other stuff and, you guessed it, 5,000 dollars.
Hazel gave me her present last of all. Inside was an object I had never seen before, a green and silver band. Was it a crown? I don't know.
I look to Hazel for guidance, the question in my eyes. In answer she taps her throat, And then I know what it is. A collar, usually worn by the submissive one in a relationship. Often they have a tag with the dominants name on it. Sure enough, beneath the collar is a blank silver tag. I look at Hazel in wonder and she mouths back "For when you get a boyfriend".
She is the only one that knows i'm Gay.

"Goodbye!" Carla calls. "Make sure to call when you get there!"
It's been another three months and Hazel and I are moving out. We now have enough money to rent a flat, the train to Zootopia should be here at any moment.
Roland comes down and gives us a big hug.
"Now remember, the city can be a dangerous place. Stick together, and don't do anything stupid, Okay?" He says. I nod an affirmative and drag my bags onto the train. I give one last wave before I enter, Hazel following close behind. We store our stuff and sit in one of the plush seats. The train begins to pick up speed and before you know it we're racing towards Zootopia at 250 kph.

I must have fallen asleep at some point, because Hazel is shaking me awake.
"Come on Dylan, this is our stop"
We quickly grab our bags and exit the train in the nic of time, my tail nearly getting caught in the door. We follow the GPS on our phones and find ourselves at an appartment block in the rainforest district, which contains our appartment. I push open the door, bracing myself for the worst. It's better than I expected, though, with two bedrooms, a joint bathroom between the two, a living space and small kitchenette. It's small, but it's the best we can afford, and, let's face it, it's alot better than asbestos poisoning like some other appartments we looked at.

I dibs the room on the left and find it has a large window with a nice view of the city.
Just below the window sits an old sycamore tree, it's branches reaching up to my window.
I note this as an emergency exit. ...or entrance. I smile to myself and start unpacking.
