"amber!" a familiar red–headed girl screeched at her girlfriend, whom was seemingly too busy pushing madison ziegler onto her back to acknowledge. "amber!" she repeated "it wasn't her fucking fault!" the girl, who maddie now knew to be called amber, clenched her fist and punched her right across the nose. maddie sucked in a breath, blood trickling down past her top lip. "don't touch my fucking girl again. i swear to god, ziegler." then they walked off. maddie didn't do it on purpose. she'd met amelia in a bar, obviously, and became infatuated with her green eyes and petite body. except, little did madison know, the girl was engaged to amber – a fucking gym buff with rock hard abs and even harder knuckles. she stood herself up, wiping her nose with the back of her hand. it was rather late, about eleven, so she assumed the park she was in was deserted, until she heard a quiet bark in the distance. rubbing her head, she bit her lip until it bled, a failed attempt to hold back tears. not because she'd been hit, more so because she missed chloe. she missed her constant praise and heart eyes that she could never seem to hide, not to mention how tight she held maddie, the safest she'd ever felt in her rollercoaster of a life.

"amber!" she heard, it was chloe. madison shook her head, crying harder, she had to be imagining it. it must've been amelia in the distance, fighting to get her girl back. it wasn't chloe. of course not. she stumbled over to a street light, the dim yellow glow shining down on her as she sat perched against it. next she heard a giggle, and she knew she was going absolutely mad. "get out of my fucking head." she muttered, a constant stream of tears running down her cheeks. she looked up for a moment, knees hugged close to her chest. it was chloe. "chl-oe?" she cried, looking up at the blonde like a lost puppy. "maddie." she exhaled, sitting down next to the girl, legs pulled to her chest, just like maddie's were. "oh my god." she wrapped her arms around the sobbing brunette and held her like she was about to die. she reached a hand into her pockets, whispering "fuck" when she realised there was no tissues in them. instead, she pulled her sleeve over her hand, wiping maddie's nose and mouth of the blood. "come home with me."
