ASHLEY'S (POV)
Talk about a tiny ass school. The school ended up being a few blocks away from my house so instead of having my mom drop me off, I just rode my longboard. I made my way to the building that looked to be the office. I walked in and went to the front desk were a really old lady with huge glasses was sitting.
"Hi ma'am my Name is Ashley Bates I'm a ew student to this school?" she slowly typed a few words into her computer before printing out a few sheets of paper and making her way to me.
"Ah yes, yes, of course you are, well my dear here is your class schedule, and a map of the campus." I took the papers and made my way out the door. Looking over my classes
Period 1: A.P calculas
Period 2: Advanced junior English
period 3: creative writing
lunch
period 4: Biology
period 5: Physical education
period 6 Free Period
I was fine with everything and even a little happy about having a free period last. I started walking with my map in my face trying to figure out what class room my math class was in when I ran into someone.
"Watch where you're going" she flipped her hair and walked the other way. well then she must be nice. I laughed to myself and kept walking. A good ten minutes later I finally made my way to my class, finding any empty seat in the back and took it. An hour later she was going over homework that was already due in the morning. I groaned as I wrote the pages down in my notebook, as I heard the bell I gathered my stuff and left. That class is going to kill me I already know it. Don't get me wrong I love math, it has always been my favorite subject and super easy to learn, just not excited about all the homework that comes with it.
I walked to my next class and noticed the only open seat was inbetween two guys in the back, sighing to myself I walked over and sat down. Within a second they both turned to me and stared talking.
"Hey you're hot you new around here? I'm Josh by the way" I tried to ignore him but then his friend decided to make sure he was heard too.
"Well I'm Lucas but you can call my daddy" He winked at me which made me laugh, who the hell says to call them daddy thats so gross. The class went on with Josh and Lucas trying to flirt with me and failing. bragging about being on the football team and the huge parties they throw, and the gym they go to, all shit I could care less about. This had to be the longest hour of my life. Finally the bell rang and I made my escape.
Why are guys always so annoying. I was thinking of the ways to ignore the next guy to open his mouth around me, when I noticed that girl Emily standing in front of me.
"Hey Ashley right? yeah hows school going so far?" how can someone have such a nice smile? like I was a little jealous of her smile right now.
"Yeah well besides all the guys hitting on me its going good." She rolled her eyes.
"Yeah you're basically the new toy at this school get used to it, you're hot so they will all try and get at you." Wait did she just say I was hot? I mean someone of her standards a tall hot blonde was calling me hot? and wait why did the find it so much better hearing it from her and not he guys.
"Let me see your schedule?" She breaks me out of my thoughts by asking.
"Here"
"Damn you're in such a hard math class! I'm in trig this year and I have no clue how I'm going to pass, but hey we have the same schedule together after lunch." She smiled at me handing the paper back, damn that smile.
"Well if you ever need help in your trig class I'm glad to help you out." I told her secretly hoping she asks.
"I might have to take you up on that, well were both about to be late to our next class ill catch up with you later bye Ashley." She waved and jogged off to the classroom to the right of me. I watched her go feeling really strange with my thoughts towards this girl.
When lunch rolled around I had no clue what I was going to do. Should I be that weird girl that takes her lunch and eats alone in a bathroom stall, go be a loner and eat outside, or buck up the nerves and find an empty table in the cafeteria. I made my way towards the front doors when I heard my name.
"Ashley babe come sit with us, we don't bite, unless you beg." ugh Lucas was starting to gross me out even more. But I followed Lucas and josh to a table full of what looked to be football players and a few girls. And of course every girl gave me a death glare as I took my seat.
"Dudes, dudettes, if you haven't met this fine piece of ass yet, this is Ashley she's new and super hot, not that I need to tell you, since you all have eyes." He sat down next to me and put his arm around my shoulders. ew. I looked around the table and noticed Emily sitting at the other end of the table next to two other girls she was actually eating while the other girls drank a water and stared at me.
"So why do you go here now" One of the girls piped up
"Lisa chill" kind thankful for whoever that was.
"What I'm just wondering why someone would randomly decided to come to Gateway in the middle of no where their junior year of high school." I got the hint that she wasn't going to let the subject drop.
"My parents got divorced over the summer and my mom moved us out here." I said staring into her eyes. she didn't even blink
"That sucks for you." she laughed. I was pissed at this point.
I shoved Lucas away from me and stood up and made my way out the doors in a hurry.
