Not for the Weak (Humanstuck Erisol)

:One:

Everything in my life has gone downhill since I learned his name. I was finished walking a few of my friends home when I saw him round the corner.

"Hey!" I yelled and ran after him, "Hey. I've, uh, seen you in the halls at school before but I realized that I don't know your name."

He did his best to avoid my gaze as he whispered, "I'm Eridan."

What a cute name! Wait-stop. Don't do this to yourself.

"Eridan, huh? I'm Sollux. Could I just call you ED?"
He nodded and kept his pace.

"Are, uh, you okay?" I bent down a little while walking to try and look at him but he turned his head away.
"I'm fine," he sighed, "well this is my house. See ya, Sollux."

He turned down the sidewalk and vanished around the corner. I stood there for a second, staring off into the horizon, contemplating. Something was... different. Not in a bad way, but something had definitely changed. My mind wandered around for a bit until I realized I should be home.

I shrugged and walked away, not knowing what would become of me because of him.
