He wasn't at school the next day. I was afraid I had hurt his feelings too badly.

"Where's your nerd friend?" Feferi taunted.

"Okay, A: not a nerd. He's cool. B: I have no idea," I sighed.

"You're hanging out with someone else after school? There's why you've skipped walking us home?" Aradia seemed upset.

"Well yeah," I said, "But it's because he looked lonely and I wanted him I be happy."

That was a lie. He didn't seem lonely. I just... I guess I just fell for him as soon as I saw him in the hallway and the feeling never left me. But I wasn't about to tell them that.

"Oh my god," Karkat groaned, " at least he's trying to do the right thing, unlike you, Feferi."

She gasped, "I will not allow you to talk to me in such a way!"

"Oh, it isn't like you're royalty Feferi."

"It doesn't matter if you don't like me because Sollux likes me!" She grabbed my arm.

"A-as a friend," I wiped her hand off.

She stared at me with the most heartbroken expression I had ever seen, "Y-you don't like me?"

"Not like that, FF, no," I turned away. I didn't want to face my shame.

Aradia snickered as Feferi began to cry, "No, he doesn't like you because he likes me, Feferi."

I shook my head and laughed awkwardly, "I don't like you like that either, AA."

She slammed her fists down on the table, "You're kidding me, right?!"

"Uh, no not really," I scratched my neck.

"Why don't you like either of them?" Karkat asked, "I thought you at least had a thing for one."

I groaned and hit my head on the table, "I can't do this anymore. Guess what everyone?!"

My whole table stared at me, "I'm gay!"

Feferi and Aradia gasped in shock. Kanaya and Rose gave a thumbs up. Karkat just shook his head.

"It's me isn't it?" Karkat teased.

"No, KK," I laughed, "it's not."

He mocked FF and AA by placing his hand over his chest and sighing dramatically, "Oh, how could the wonderful Sollux not be in love with me?!"

I snickered as FF and AA left the table.
"Okay, Sollux," Kanaya leaned in as they left, "seriously, who is it?"

All three faces stared at me with anticipation.

"Uh," I pulled at my collar, "it's... it's Eridan."

Kanaya smiled and clapped slowly, "Called it."

"Seriously?" Karkat glared at me, "I don't even know him!"

"You can meet him the next time he's at school," I promised, "I don't know where he's at today."

But I found out.
