Tina had apparated Newt Scamander and I back to the streets of New York after discovering the case was filled with pastries, not creatures. I was directing us to Jacob's flat. Since he was my friend, I knew the way. But boy, did I regret closing up early at the shop. This whole mayhem could've been avoided.

"I can't believe you didn't obliviate that man!" Tina exclaimed, starting a conversation between the three of us.

"We're sorry!" I moaned, not wanting to get into a heated argument, "but if it's any consolation, he's my friend and I know he wouldn't have told anyone about this."

Tina disregarded my comment, and continued to rant which made me slightly annoyed.

"If there's an inquiry I'm finished." she stated, shoulders sagging.

Scamander had a bewildered expression on his face, as did I.

He started, "Why would you be finished, I'm the one who-"

"-I'm not supposed to go near those 'Second Salemers.'" Tina cut him off, and I couldn't help but wonder what she meant.

Although, I wouldn't want to go near that woman. She was quite stupid, and I could sense something from her. I didn't know what though.

Tina didn't get the chance to explain, as a winged creature that I knew for sure was magical, whizzed by us.

"What the bloody hell was that?" I questioned, knowing that this meant more creatures had probably escaped from Scamander's case.

"Uh moth I think..." he trailed off, unconvincingly, "...big moth."

We turned the street corner to Jacob's where there was a crowd of angry people. They were shouting whatever they could to the officers standing in front of a half-destroyed building...which happened to be Jake's.

"Quiet down! I'm tryin to get a statement!" The Officer yelled to the crowd.

"I'm telling you it's gas. I ain't takin the kids back up there until it's safe!" A lady exclaimed angrily to the officer.

"I'm sorry ma'am, but there ain't no smell of gas." The officer tried to inform the furious woman.

"It wasn't gas officer I've seen it!" A random man broke into their conversation, "It was a gigantic, huge, hippopota-gas....."

I turned slightly to my right and I saw that Scamander had casted a spell on the man as well as the crowd, so that his creature wouldn't be revealed.

Noticing that Tina wasn't looking, I started to head up into the building to hopefully find Jacob, or Scamander's case, or both.

"So, why were you at the bank with the muggle? You don't seem like the 'bakery' type...no offence." Scamander said after following me into the building.

As I took in the broken scenery I answered him. "Well I was headed to lunch, but I got sort of dragged into the situation. See Jacob was getting his loan and I wanted to help him since we're friends and that's what friends do, right? But he ended up getting...unconscious?!"

I cut off my sentence as I saw my friend lying on the floor unconscious. I ran to him, and I saw that he had some sort of animal bite on his neck.

"Oh Lord, I can't stand blood." I shuddered at the sight, and went further away from him.

Looking around I saw that the place was very very broken so I got out my wand. Scamander did the same, and with the waves of our wands it repaired quite quickly.
