Graces p.o.v

I dashed to the door, and flung it open.

"Hello Grace"
He said, his gruff voice just as I remembered.

"Boyd. " I said nodding my head in greeting.

He was just as I remembered. His dark hair, His brown eyes, just like brendons.

The only difference, was that there were a few wrinkles at the corners of his eyes, and his hair was going grey on top.

Well.... It has been 18 years.

I shut the door after him, and gestured for him to sit down on the sofa.

"Brendon! There's somebody here to see you"

Then he came shuffling in. Balancing Bethany on his hip.

Brendons p.o.v

I shut the cupboard and shuffled in to the living room.

My mom came skipping over and grabbed my hand.

She pulled me over to the sofa, and I noticed a tall man, probably a few years older than my mom, sat on the sofa.

He had greying hair, and brown eyes.

I felt Beth shrink and hide her face under my arm.

I stroked her hair and  plopped down on the recliner, and folded my arms.

" did Rob leave you too? And this is your next boy toy?" I grumbled.

"Don't be so rude to your mother."

The voice startled me, and i snapped my head round to look at him.

"What are you gonna do about it old man?"

" Brendon. Stop. Don't be rude, I know you're still upset from yesterday, but when I tell you I want you to stay calm okay. "

"I can't promise anything, but I will try."

"Thank you."
I shot a glare at the guy sat opposite me.

"Brendon. I completely understand if this upsets you, but don't freak out."

Beth nuzzled into my side, clutching my t-shirt with one hand, and sucking the thumb on her other.

"I'll try."

"Okay Brendon. I know it's been a very long time... But I think it's time you met someone. Bren..... This is your dad....."
