My eyesight faded in and out as I blinked against the blinding light. White rooms, white ceilings, cold tiles that cooled my hot skin underneath. I was here again.

My fists clenched, eager to seize anything I could feel at this point. Sheets crinkled as I fisted them up, I couldn't move at all. I was panting and my eyes failed to open fully. My skin was scorching as if a thousand needles were stabbing at me simultaneously.

"You're awake," an unfamiliar voice said levelly. "Good."

My heart leaped in my chest and my memories bogged into spot. Felix, Alex - oh my god... I remember cradling an unconscious Felix in my arms whilst Alex drove us. I remember escaping Vivisection and saving Felix. My dad, I remember everything.

I swallowed hard. My throat was blistering hot and I could hardly breathe. I found my voice but it was croaky and raspy as if my throat was set ablaze. "What -who are - where am I?"

Footsteps came closer and I managed to open my eyes with all effort, but my body was pinned down against the bed. I couldn't even move my toes.

"I'm Sargent Johnson; you've been in a terrible accident, Delila." The manly voice spoke. It was like a heavy ton of weight crashed over me. Was I the only survivor? "There weren't any casualties, and do you know why?"

Relief coursed over me. My vision cleared and a man stood over me. The man was old with sand and pepper hair and brown eyes, his smile was practiced and he was wearing a military uniform in dark green. A badge of an emblem was pinned on his left shoulder on his jacket- it had two sharp pointed arrows meeting at intervals and in the centre of the emblem it had the government's emblem.

"You saved them," The man said. "All of them. We don't know how when we found the crashed car. But your arms were obscuring Felix and Agent Alex Pelton. You protected them from the impact of the crash, not one scratch on them. Neither did you." Sargent Johnson explained.

I couldn't believe it because I didn't remember anything. I tried to think hard- but my mind refused to cooperate.

"Where am I?" I asked, changing the subject. I could use my ability to push here and there but something in my brain resisted me from that act.

Sargent Johnson cocked his head, "Well, you are in the heart of Vivisection." He smiled as my eyes grew wide. The heart of the Vivisection was the main waypoint of Vivisection. It is where it was created- I remembered reading stuff about it. They had tons of organizations and buildings of Vivisections sectioned all over the world, but this was the original building originally built in 1820.

This man standing before me must be extremely important, not just by his uniform but by the way he'd talk-so professionally and adeptly fluent. I tried to sit up but I was held down by an invisible force.

"You can't sit up for now. Who knows what danger you're capable of." He explained. "And your friends -they're in an exact room like this but they're being experimented on."

Fiery anger took control. With every will power I could muster into my bones I tried the best I could to sit up. It was working. My muscles scorched with the pain I used to sit up but this force retaliated by pinning me down hard. The man stumbled back in horror, and I could tell he usually never reacted like this.

I sat up slowly and my spine ached. I can take control. I should advise Vivisection for better protection next time.

I thrust my hand out, my muscles in my arm bulging and my veins struggling to keep intact. I knew what he meant by 'experimenting' and who knows what they've done to me? But by the looks of my body, they haven't touched me and I know why. They're afraid, and this is as good as it gets because I can use that as an advantage.

I seized his collar but before I could grasp onto him he slapped a button on a wall. I pulled him toward me as an alarm sounded and blared. My heart rate increased and sweat trickled down my forehead.

I got off the bed with all my might and stared in his face. I was furious. "Where. Are. They." I demanded.

The man flinched and his face contorted in pain as I pulled on his collar harder. "I -"

The doors banged open and men in black leather uniforms hurtled in with guns pointed at me. Taking opportunity I pulled Sargent Johnson back against me, my arm over his throat. "Come any closer and I'll kill him." I warned the men.

The men exchanged looks and they hesitated. They knew who I was, apparently, because they looked frightened as hell. All of them, simultaneously, dropped those guns on the floor. It clattered and echoed. A man stepped to the side to the wall, next to the button.

My arm around Sargent Johnsons throat tightened and the agent raised his palms, "Relax, calm down, I'm just turning off the button on the alarm."

I nodded and watched as he hit the button and the alarms stopped abruptly.

"You want Sargent Johnson alive?" I said to the agents who looked at me with horror. "Then show me where Felix and Alex' rooms are."
