Jasmines POV.

I had finally made it through year 1 of university, well all apart from the final week which loomed in front of me. I stood in the middle of my room in halls looking around at all the stuf I had to pack up and move back home for the summer... it was exhasuting just thinking about what I had to do. I made a plan in my head (I do that a lot, lists, plans, organization... I was a bit of an OCD kid... despite how untidy I am!).
Okay... I thought to myself... clothes first, then my school books and general junk, and home comforts last, the things I cant live without - phone, ipad, macbook, books, music equipment and posters... and my baby... my beautiful accoustic guitar.

I opened iTunes on my macbook and clicked my favourite playlist "Demi<3" and began to dance around my room while organizing my clothes for packing.
I was mid way through belting out hte chorus to Unbroken when my best friend Leah walked in.

"I'm gonna love you like ive never been broken, I'm gonna say it like its never been spoookkeennn!"
"Alright Jazzy I know you love me but no need to shout it quite so loud!"

I turned laughing but didnt stop dancing and packing, 'Jazzy' is Leahs nickname for me, she says its perfect cos not only does it fit my name but im always breaking out in song like im in some kind of west end musical. Which I can't deny is very true.

"Oh Leah you know my heart is already taken by Queen D, you're really going to have to get over that jealousy one day..."
"Alright alright future Ms Lovato, I just popped in to tell you we're heading to the pub in like an hour and a half so get dolled up and meet us in the kitchen in an hour for pre drinks... it's gonna be a messy one!!"

I really appreciated my friendship with Leah, she gets my dorky side, she understands my quiet side and she doesn't question my crazy. She also puts up with my near constant chatter about Demi Lovato unlike most other people im friends with.
I was excited for tonight, it was the last night all of our friendship group would be out together this year as Kerry and Paul were both heading home in the morning. It no doubt would be a very messy one.
I picked up my phone as I promised mum I'd call her tonight  to make plans for the rest of the week and getting me and my stuff picked up on Saturday... probably best to call before the drinking and debauchery begins I giggled to myself. I picked up my iphone and noticed i had 3 text messages and 2 missed calls already. The calls were from my little brothers mobile and the texts were from him too, I checked them.

1st text:
"5 nights til your home Jasmine! Yaaaaayyyyyyyyyyy. Can't wait to see you big sis :)"
2nd text:
"P.s. Don't forget you promised to get me drunk and introduce me to girls this summer, just sayin."
3rd text:
"Jas pick up your phone now! SERIOUSLY!"

I chuckled at the first two messages, my little brother Ricky was 15 turning 16 in the winter and he already considered himself a little stud, I had indeed promised to take him out with my friends and get him drunk, under my watchful eye would be best for his first experience with alcohol i reckoned. When I read the third text I frowned slightly, it seemed a bit urgent and out of character, probably just overly excited I thought and rolled my eyes. I'll call mum now and arrange the weekend plans.
Her mobile just rang out both times I tried, I shrugged it off (Mondays were Rickys cricket training nights so I figured mum was out picking him up. I left a message.

"Hey mum calling to plan the weekend, I've already started packing so don't fret I will be ready by then. Heading out with everyone now so I'll check in again later"

After hanging up I plugged the phone in to charge and turned up the volume on my laptop. Time to pick an outfit for tonight...
