DEMI's POV

My alarm went off and I groaned and rolled over trying to find the button on the clock radio to turn it off without having to lift my head, I pressed the first button I came to and yes, it turned off the alarm, but it also started the radio playing.

"Iiiiiiittttsssss 8am and here's something to get you out of bed and dancing round your room... it's Demi Lovato with Neeeeoooon Lights!!"

Eugh, I turned off the radio and pulled my pillow over my head. It was the beginning of my week off before tour started so the last thing I wanted was to hear Neon Lights when ive been doing nothing but practice it for about a month solid. I was awake now however and so I rolled over and grabbed my phone from the side table. I went straight to twitter to check in with my lovatics - it may be my week off but I love my fans. I tapped out a quick tweet:

"Lovatics! Its my week off which means sweatpants, movies and lots of trips to starbucks. What do you guys like to do in your free time? xo"

Then I bounced over to keek and recorded a quick wakey wakey video - lovatics seem to love it when i post videos first thing in the morning!!

I really did plan a week off with lots of goin to starbucks in my sweatpants and catching up with friends and family but I had one more piece of business to do today. A meeting with my team. Before each tour my team (including my mom and Eddie) and I get together and we have a talk about  going out on the road, my health - both physical and mental, and just how we are all feeling. After my tour before treatment we take it all much more seriously and I promised I'd always be open and honest so we all lay out what we expect and what we need from each other before we hit the road.

I had 3 hours before everyone arrived at my apartment for the meeting so I decided to hit the gym and make the most of my early start.

**later that day**

Everyone had arrived for the meeting, my whole team, security, my band and backup singers, dancers (a new addition for this tour!) my mom, Eddie and Maddie and Marissa too, she was coming on tour with me seeing as we'd not seen a lot of each other since XFactor began last year. We all sat chatting and eating the food my mom brought for a while before I began the meeting.

"Okay guys enough small talk we need to get to business so my week off can officially begin and I can go back to bed and watch movies! So every tour start we have this meeting to check in and see how we all are, to lay our expectations for  tour and to make sure we all hit the road singing off the same hymnsheet!"

A light and friendly laughter travelled around the room.

"I've been busy this year, with xfactor, glee, concerts and appearences. I am tired but so thankful for it all and so ready to kick the neon lights tours ass. This last month ive been in training for tour and im feeling fitter and healthier than ever, and, hopefully after getting my damn tonsils removed we wont have any mid-tour voice issues like we usually do! Now I know its not that kind of health thats on ya'lls mind... It's been the hardest year yet since I left treatment after my daddy passed on..."

I saw everyone shift in their seats slightly, uncomfortable and unsure of what I was going to say.

"... but I've been on top of therapy and my own recovery with the same intensity and commitment that I've been training physically and I'm confident that I will be able to cope on tour. What I simply need from everyone is what you all do best anyway - lots of support, lots of fun and most of all accountability. If you see me slipping tell me. I'm a big girl and I can handle it!"

The friendly jovial atmosphere returned and I saw everyone almost relieved at what I said. I mean it too, I was determined to make this time on tour about looking outward and helping my lovatics as much as possible and I've learned that the best way to do so is to be honest and open with everyone so I can heal myself and help others heal too.
The meeting went on for a while, each dept of my team also shared how they were all doing and what they felt about tour and on a whole everyone was feeling positive and ready for this. I was really excited and couldn't wait to get going. I sent another tweet out to all my fans.

"So pumped for #NEONLIGHTSTOUR!!! Who's with me?!!"
