We step inside and hang our coats on the rack before walking towards this girl from our age at the reception.

''Hello, we had a reservation with the name Prince.''

''Ah yes, a table for two. I'll lead you two towards it.''

She stands up and walks inside the restaurant. We aren't even halfway there when all of the sudden I hear a man from around the fifties screaming Max' name.

''MAXXIE OH MY GOD IT IS YOU!''

Everyone eyes in this restaurant are immediately on us and I can't help but get a little bit embarrassed. But before I can even realize that, the 'conversation' continues.

''I can't believe it's really you!'' The man exclaim pulling Max into a hug. He let's go of him and starts to scream again: ''FAMILY GET OVER HERE, yeah you too Philip!''

Like ten people start to walk towards us with confused faces. Then all of the sudden this lady from around the same age as this man started to scream: ''It's Max!''

Screaming runs in the family apparently...

I stand a bit on the side just watching Max getting attention from all those people. They hug him, ask him questions and tell him how much they missed him. I watch him with an amused grin plastered on my face. It's adorable, Max being all happy like a little kid who sees his grandma again after a few months.

''And who's this young man you brought with you? Is it your boyfriend??'' the man says.

Max quickly turns around and grabs my hand to pull me towards him.

''This here is Milan. He's my best friend and I kinda had a though time so he decided to get me out for a day.''

''It's really nice to meet you Milan.'' the man says while shaking my hand. ''My name is Steve, I own this place.''

''Is that why you haven't been here for so long, Max?'' the lady asks.

I notice Max getting nervous so I decide to talk for him while grabbing his hand. I told them what happened with his parents and after a while of talking they finally brought us to our table. They gave us the menu and left us alone for a bit.

''You never told them what happened?''

He shakes his head in shame.

''Why not?''

''I couldn't bring myself to do it. Did you see the tears in their eyes? I couldn't tell them over phone.''

I give his hand a soft squeeze. I can't disagree. They've known each other for so long. I need to fix something sometime to bring his parents here.

''You know, I always wanted to bring you here.''

''What?''

''I've tried convincing my parents to take you with since the first day I met you.''

''Oh really.'' I say honored. ''Why didn't they let me?'' I mean, I am their second son...

''They, ehm.'' His cheeks flushed pink. ''They told me I could only bring someone who I was dating.''

''Oh.''

''So, did you guys decided about an entree yet?'', this nice lade from around the thirties asks us.

''Oh actually.'' I say a bit embarrassed. ''We can't afford more than just a main and dessert.''

''Well, I can fix that. I just talked to Steve and he told me it's on the house.''
