I had felt like I was asleep for ages. As if in a sleep like death. Maybe I had finally met my match. It was then that, I began to feel grounded again. Like I had regained my weight and gravity had returned to me. Underneath me, I felt something soft. That of a bed. My eyes snapped open at this realization and I jumped up to my feet. But as I rose and had looked around, I found myself in some strange place with hour glasses and floating rocks. Even the "bed" that I had been laying in was floating. As I looked down at myself, I had noticed that I was in a completely different outfit. One that looked almost exactly like Champa's. "What the hell?" I uttered out, pretty much entirely lost on the entire situation.
"Oh, you're awake." I heard from a familiar female voice behind me. I spun around to see Vados floating directly towards me. "Where am I?" I asked her, requesting answers to what the hell was going on. "You are in your new home, My Lord." She said making me look over to her in even more confusion. "I'm sorry, did you just call me, 'My Lord'?" I asked. She nodded and seemed to smile as she came up in front of me. "Well, of course. You've killed Champa, the former God of Destruction. In doing so, you now take his place."It took me a moment to remember it it, but I had recalled her saying the same thing before I had blacked out. So that meant Champa wasn't kidding about being some sort of God. 'I thought that guy was just super strong and had an ego.' I thought. Keeping that info in mind, I looked over at Vados curiously as I crossed my arms over my chest with a question on my lips. "So you were with Champa, right? If he was a god, then where does that put you in all this?" I asked deeply curious what about what significance she held to situation at hand.
"I am your personal guardian angel. I am to serve and guide you to the best of my ability." She said, letting her staff float on it's own as she took a bow, making her ponytail fall a bit down her shoulder. "I see-" I said, getting cut off by the sound of my stomach growling loudly causing me grin a bit as she put a hand over her mouth looking from my stomach to my face. "Guess killing a God made me pretty hungry. Hehehe." I said letting out a soft chuckle. "Please follow me, the dinning room is this way." She said turning around to lead me.We had been walking for a while when she lead me into a room with a massive table. It looked like one of those banquet tables used in the great hall of kings. The place was so empty. It felt... Wrong. Every time I'd sat down at a table like this, I was accompanied by friends and memories were made as we shared food. This felt so... Lonely. "So what will it be? I have quite an extensive assortment to cho-" She said before I had cut her off. "Would it be possible to go to the nearest planet with life? I'd like see if any of them are sentient and if not, hunt down my own food." I asked, wanting to leave this place.
Vados looked at my slightly confused, but merely bowed to my request. "If it is what you wish." She said with as she rose back up. She began walk again, motioning for me to follow her once more. Following after her, she had brought me outside. The grass and foliage looked well kept and clean, the waters looked clear and calm. "Alright. Now please, place your hand onto my back and then I may transport us to your desired location." She said, summoning her staff to her hand and waiting for me to do so. I walked over to her and did as asked, but in doing so she seemed to have jumped a little. "Is something wrong?" I asked, curious that something might have scared or surprised her.
She put a hand on her blushing face as she spoke. "My Lord, that... that's a little too low." I didn't exactly understand what she meant, but I wasn't one to argue with an Angel just yet. I moved my hand up to the center of her back instead, not understanding what the problem was regardless. "Better?" I asked still a little confused. "Quite." She said regaining her composure and focus. And before I knew it I was engulfed in a bright light and we were off. The sensation was unlike anything I'd ever felt. Moving that fast seemed so foreign to me. The sensation of light particles pushing me faster than I'd ever gone before. We were only like that for a few seconds before we had we made it to a planet.
