We ran faster then we ever had before. We definitely could not miss this flight. After all, this was the boss we were going to erm... well "visit".

I held my bags while running down the halls of the airport, careful not to drop the things inside, even though I felt that I might have dropped something along the way. "Gate 12!" I said while panting.

"We have to get to gate 12!" Jessie ran in front of me wearing a pink backpack that suited her outfit well. Meowth didn't have time to change in to human clothes, we were in a rush out of the alley we had stayed in to contact Giovanni.

We slowed down as we got close to gate 12. There were a couple of people sitting and waiting by the gate either playing on some sort of electronic or caring for their Pokémon.

"Wait, if we're late... why are people just sitting there?" I thought to myself.

"Hey James?" Jessie asked me looking a little bit confused and irritated.

"Y-yes Jessie?" I stuttered because I knew it wouldn't be good.

"Is your watch a bit late?" She definitely didn't look happy now. I had totally jacked up this time.

I grabbed my watch from my pocket and looked at it. The reason it wasn't on my wrist was because it got jammed quite a long time ago from... well I wasn't really sure.

"Well," I stared down at my watch. "It says that it's 3:40..." Jessie glared at me and sighed. She pointed to a wall that was pretty close to the boarding tube. On the clock it said 1:37.

"We are supposed to be on the plane by 3:30 James." She said groaning. I heard Meowth chuckle from the sides as I turned red in embarrassment.

"You idiot." Meowth said laughing harder by the second. Jessie sighed and sat down in an open seat.

"So now we've got 2 hours to go." Jessie said laying back. "What do you wanna do now?"

I decided on the first thing that popped in my mind. "Why not walk around a little? There could be some interesting things in this airport." I said trying to sound reasonable.

Jessie grinned from where she lay and walked up to me. She got real close to my face and grabbed my wallet from my pocket. She took out the money and put it back.

She counted what was in her hands and grabbed me by the arm, that small grin still on her face. I blushed slightly as I was dragged by her.

"It's called karma." She said at last. "Your paycheck, my shopping." She kept dragging me by the arm as I stumbled behind her.

"Meowth wait there for us, 'kay?" She yelled to the scratch cat. Meowth just grinned at us and walked to the empty seat Jessie had just been in.

"C'mon James! You're such a slowpoke." Jessie said increasing her speed. I tried to keep up but it was hard with her pulling my arm like that. I could tell this would be more then just a stroll.

We stood by the glass covering our fall from the floor below us. I was stacked with bags as Jessie was looking around the airport. I could tell something had caught her eye when she tugged at my shirt.

"Where would you like to go now, Miss Jessica?" I asked frowning.

She shook her head. "Nowhere, I was just pointing out the twerps over there." She was looking at Ash and his friends. Serena was taking a plane to Hoenn as it seemed.

I watched as she was pulled down an escalator. She looked a bit sad, I could just tell.

"How much you wanna bet she's gonna run up and kiss him?" Jessie asked me clearly talking about Ash.

"None," I said, a little bit irritated. "Sorry but I don't have any money with me Jess."

She chuckled and gently tugged at my shirt again when she noticed I had lost my focus. We watched as Serena ran up the escalator and kissed Ash. We saw his other two friends - even his trusted Pikachu - start to freak out a bit.

She was pulled back down by the escalator as she waved bye to Ash and co.

I looked down at Jessie who's eyes were sparkling. I had a feeling I knew what she was thinking about.

Love. She was thinking about true love. I wouldn't be surprised though. That's really all she was looking for in her life. True love.

She looked up at me and smiled. I smiled back down at her. "I always knew those two would get together." She said laying her head on my chest. I blushed slightly pink. I was used to physical attention but never like this.

This was definitely different.

"Wonder if they think the same about us?" She said nuzzling against me. I couldn't help but blush even harder that time. She wrapped her arms around my neck and kissed my cheek.

"I-I uh... yeah." I couldn't really think of anything to say. She giggled at my nervousness.

She let go of the embrace and sighed. "We should probably head back. It's probably close to the time now." I didn't say anything, I just nodded.

We walked back to a sleeping Meowth and checked the time. She was right. It was 3:21. We woke up Meowth and boarded the plane.

I was pretty tired from walking around practically the whole airport. I rolled my head around to get comfortable and found a place where I could fall asleep. So I did.

It was only a small nap but I found Jessie laying her head on my shoulder. I smiled to myself and kissed her temple. Meowth saw me and chuckled.

"I knews youse twos did somethin' while youse was gone!" He exclaimed with a cheeky grin. I just put my arm around Jessie's and ignored his comment.

"And now I wait." I thought to myself. "I wait for our confrontation with the boss next, where something else unexpected happens."

I looked down at the sleeping Jessie in my arms. "But whatever happens, I've got Jessie here with me through it."
